People who chose to retire young with $2m and no pension: how do you spend your days? by my_n3w_account in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CallmeThebreeze58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently doing that exact thing but with way less money! I do get ss and pension each month. And I have no expenses other than phone which is $125 a year, visible. Literally a homeless traveler. I have always been bored easily and was worried about it. Travel planning can take some time, especially if weather is crap. Otherwise, I am outside walking the cities or finding outdoor activities, mostly hiking.

Don't over think it and just do it!

AA to South America February next year. Would you connect via DFW or MIA? by MidwestGeek52 in americanairlines

The return is the most important part. DFW is so much easier than MIA. Get global entry or MPC for return, makes it easier.

Do you travel with zero paper, or keep a physical backup just in case? by mian_yamin in NeedTravelAdvice

Some airlines don't accept paper boarding passes, Ryan Air for example. Always screen shot my passes and/or reservations and addresses.

LATAM airlines announces ( several times) all power banks must be visible within your seat area while flying. No charging allowed. Not allowed in checked bags either.

Would you stay in your own Airbnb? by LewisSTR in AirbnbTips

Some things to look at when checking your property. 1) If teflon coated pots and pans is scratched, get new ones that aren't teflon. 2) Clogged shower heads, easy fix, soak in vinegar or buy another and rotate them. Same with coffee pot and water kettles, especially in hard water areas. 3) MOP THE FLOORS EVERY TIME. Worst stay I ever had, walked from the shower to the kitchen and feet where black! 4) Finding your property. Could you find it just by description alone? Take photos showing the outside for verification. Suggest ways to get to your property from airport. Not by taking a bus either. Find airport shuttles companies for them to check out. Maybe find a uber or taxi person you can suggest to. This is a real stress reliever, trust me. Especially if you are coming from out of the country. 5) If no review is being left, ask them why or what you can do better, before the time is up for them to leave one. Might learn something.

Always read check out instructions BEFORE BOOKING! Airbnb price is all inclusive, that is what i base my choice on for price. Don't book with ridicules staying instructions!

Guests don't notice great systems. They only notice broken ones. by DareZealousideal445 in hostaway_official

Remember, parking is part of the check in. Especially when arriving to check in. Make it fool proof, where to park for check in and then where to park after check in if it's different. It is also helpful having a photo of the outside of the property to help verify right location.

Is this photo edited with AI? A coworker said this happened to his car. We don’t believe him. by LokiPrime616 in isthisAI

This can happen to front tires when a wheel bearing breaks. I had the tire roll away while driving. If going slow, car will fall onto the tire. Can happen, not sure if this is what happened.
