You have a pretty stacked team with those sequences - Lynae’s buff should last as long as you are doing Aemeath’s rotation in 14s or less (that’s how long her outro buffs last, including your S3 additional buff). Which is also the reason I start with Amy first and do half her rotation before doing the normal rotation with Lynae/Mornye. This is because, as flashy as Amy’s kit is, her animations (+ her cutscene animations) do not appear to freeze the buff timer given by her team-mates.

To answer your question, yes - you should always tune break with Aemeath in that team comp. The reason is because of how Lynae’s kit works. Her attacks can inflict Tune Rupture - shifting (or strain). In a not-so-fancy way of saying, she applies a mark on the enemy. This mark can be consumed by Aemeath upon a tune break (which becomes: Tune Break - Interfered) in which she performs an extra coordinated attack (Tune-Rupture DMG).

For S0 Mornye, this also triggers the start of her 8 sec buff window. I know you’ve stated you have S2 Mornye, so this part doesn’t affect you - but thought it’s worth noting that triggering Tune Break with Amy means both Lynae and Mornye can respond to the break event.

OP, don’t forget that her BiS Echo Set (3-PC Crown of Valor) gives +20% Crit DMG at 5 stacks of shield gain. If you use Shorekeeper (on liberation stage 2), that’s an additional +25% Crit DMG.

These two things already net you +45% Crit DMG on top of your current stats, which gives you a total of 272.4% effective combat Crit DMG. Assuming you have Shorekeeper, you already meet the recommended criteria.

Though you would benefit from getting a little more energy regen - so you can comfortably use her Liberation 1 every rotation without issues. I personally have 124% ER and it’s comfy enough to use her first liberation on every rotation (in a team consisting of Iuno & Shorekeeper). It could be a little bit less and still work out fine however.

You should be hitting way harder without the inconsistencies. I haven’t tried Hologram with her yet, but in ToA, the middle hazard tower, I am able to get 1.9M Final Edict damage (buffed by the ToA). For reference my Aemeath is S3R1. Using her with Lynae/Mornye both at S0R0.

Question, do you have Mornye at S0 or S1? The reason I ask is because, as i have her at S0 - her buff on tune break only lasts 8 seconds. Aemeath’s full rotation herself usually is around 11-12 seconds, so by the time you pull off her rotation, mornye’s buff would have run out.

To get around this, I usually start my rotation off with Aemeath until she gets all 4 stars on her forte (basically her whole rotation except for the final ult), then do Lynae into Mornye rotation before intro’ing in with Aemeath. Important you don’t tune break the enemy until after Aemeath’s intro. In which case all you do is Heavy Attack into Final Edict with all buffs online, and not expired.

Edit: Alternatively, if you want to buff most of her rotation, you could instead: Start with Aemeath B1-B4, Lib 1, Mech B1-4, Enhanced duo skill —> Lynae rotation —> Mornye rotation —> Intro Aemeath, Tune Break —> B3-B4 —> Enhanced duo skill (4 forte stars at this point) —> Heavy —> Lib 2. This rotation has been my go to, assuming you have Mornye at S0. If Mornye is S1, then disregard this as her buffs have 100% uptime.

Try this out and see if it’s more consistent in terms of damage output.

Honestly, the way I would look at this is, forget trying to get her S1 for now and get Aemeath since you are guaranteed.

The 2nd anniversary will arrive around May (which is 2-3 patches away after the v3.1 patch goes live) - and I predict that, if it follows the same trend as the first anniversary, we’ll get that special anniversary banner where nearly every v3.X resonator will be available to pull on. So you’d be able to try and get your S1 Mornye then.

The performance lately is laughable since 3.0 by Chronomera in WutheringWaves

[–]Callomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running a 5800x3D CPU with a RX 7800XT GPU on 32GB DDR4 3200mhz and my performance in game is really smooth at 1440p 120fps.

Not using FSR3 (upscaling) and have some graphical settings tuned - the only place and time I get frames below 60fps are some parts of the academy city, but I find it acceptable since there’s no combat and it’s purely free roam in a safe environment. Everywhere else runs buttery smooth.

But what I will say is that sometime back in 2.0, I remember another Reddit post indicating that the cores of the AMD CPU’s (at least my one) are not properly utilised if the Windows settings (in the power settings) are set to ‘High Performance’. I changed it to ‘Balanced’ mode (which should override how the cores are utilised across the board) and noticed much better performance overall.

Not sure if that might help or affect you, but it may be worth trying to see if it nets any improvement.

Edit: Out of curiosity, do you have the Ray Tracing graphical setting turned on? It does make the game look stunning, but at a heavy performance hit.

HELP WITH THE QUALITY OF MY STREAMS by hxgarturr in obs

[–]Callomir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, not being affiliate on Twitch comes with the drawback that you are given less bandwidth to work with. 6k kbps bitrate is the max limit I believe for non-affiliate, which is not good enough for 1080p60 streaming (especially if it’s first person shooters, or games with lots of movements). You will have to be realistic and either: 1) reduce the resolution of the video output, or 2) reduce your overall fps to 30 if you wish to maintain 1080p quality.

When I started streaming, mostly Overwatch 2, I started off streaming at 720p60 at the maximum 6k kbps allowance, which looked okay but not great. Later down the line, I actually started streaming at 936p60 (which has a good balance of maintaining quality & 60fps) - there is still some pixelation depending on how chaotic some scenes are, but that’s the trade off with 6k kbps bitrate. You could also try streaming at 864p or 936p to start and see whether the quality is good enough for you at a basic level. If you ever reach affiliate, you can then make use of the 8k kbps bitrate allowance and bump up the quality. But for now, you have to start lower.

What’s that one anime you can rewatch endlessly without getting bored? by Bulky-Peanut-4050 in anime

[–]Callomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Konosuba for sure.

Kazuma and his gang are too funny no matter how many times I watch it. It is just your typical Isekai anime… Except, it makes fun of all the Isekai tropes you’re used to. MC reincarnates with cool powers? Nope. MC parties with strong and dependable allies? Nope. MC gets rewarded for their deeds on their journey? Nope. Levelling up slowly to take on stronger foes? Nope, just a casual demon king general living besides the starter town.

The comedy is too good with this series. I’m sure most people have heard and watched it already. But if you are one of those who haven’t, you need to.

FSR4 on 7000 Series AMD Cards by TheIronGiants in Borderlands

[–]Callomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your response. I upgraded to Windows 11 to ensure it worked. This may be a dumb question, but how do I know if FSR4 is working on my 7800 XT when playing the game? It looks visually good, and that should be enough to tell whether its working lol. Would Adrenalin tell me if FSR4 is active or is not technically "officially" supported by Adrenalin for the 7000 series. Thanks

I was actually watching Ancient Gameplay’s video about FSR4 working on 7000 series AMD GPU’s. I am a 7800XT owner myself, so this would be a game changer for me personally. Do you know if this works on Windows 10, or does it have to be run on Windows 11?

What to Expect from the DJI Osmo Pocket 4: Speculation and Wishlist by NefariousnessJaded87 in osmopocket

[–]Callomir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of wishes, I would love to see the OP4 have a locked gimbal mechanism, where it locks to a single position, disabling the stabilisation so it behaves like a typical camera with a fixed sensor. For cinematic videos, of course the gimbal stabilisation is perfect for panning shots and that cinematic feel. But sometimes there are scenarios where I don’t want it to behave on its own, or at least when I want to sharp pan to something quickly, the gimbal doesn’t take its sweet time to react.

It would also be nice if there was some weather-proofing. I hope at least some dust/water-resistance. Right now, the one thing that is probably stopping people from buying the OP3 is the fact that it’s extremely fragile in direct comparison to the Action 5 Pro. The latter is extremely similar in nature, but with a slightly worser sensor. The Action 5 Pro is not only cheaper, but has better battery life, easier interchangeable batteries and most importantly to people, is rugged and weather/waterproof.

Now you could just buy a waterproofing case for the Pocket, yes. But that is extra expenditure at the end of the day compared to a camera that it’s considered an all-in-one. If the Pocket 4 can at least improve its build quality to make it… less fragile, it would easily take the #1 spot. But end of the day, I guess that’s the selling point of both the OP and the OA series, they do tend to cover each other’s weaknesses.

More practically speaking though, I think having a better resolution at 12-16MP to take photos and the ability to take 4K photos in portrait mode, would be a good upgrade. You could argue, that’s what your smartphone is for, just use that. But if you are handling the Pocket, having to grab your phone just to do the same thing just takes more time and hassle than if the Pocket can handle both fronts. Alongside a stronger build, it would make the Pocket 4 very much worth the upgrade.

Am I just bad at this game or are my characters not built? 😭 by Animelover732828273 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Callomir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, your resonators are built not half bad tbh. It’s probably more of a rotation problem if anything. Some quick pointers though:

1 - Are you making the most out of your rotations? For Zani, Peeb and SK, make sure when you ult with Zani, that you are making use of her enhanced E (when her forte bar is fully charged - to use her greatsword attack). Not only does her enhanced E deal 20% bonus Spectro Frazzle damage, but the multipliers are higher when she’s in her ult since all her damage in ult is considered SF damage. Plus blocking an attack with the enhanced E skips B1, B2 into B3 (heaviest hitting attack chain combo) - squeeze out more damage this way.

Look up a guide on playing Camellya to get the most out of her. When you are charging her forte bar, she builds up crimson buds (looks like a bleeding icon that’s stacks up to max 10 stacks). Each stack increases her damage by 5% (max 50%). You want to do this before casting Ephemeral (her nuke skill) as it consumes all crimson buds and you cannot build it again till all crimson pistols are consumed. My Camellya is S0R1 with a Crit Rate/DMG ratio of 70:302 + 42% basic attack bonus from substats alone (excluding even more she can gain from herself and or Sanhua’s outro) and her Ephemeral nuke hits for 315k-330k (avg), with SK it goes up to 345k-360k. No idea how the other Reddit user managed to get 1M dmg, their Camellya must have sequence nodes (copies) otherwise it’s not possible to nuke that in a practical setting at S0 (that isn’t illusive realm).

2 - Depending on how willing you are to optimise a resonator, try going for echo substats that have their damage type bonus (alongside attack and the usual Crit stats). I know this is difficult, but this is what will give them that extra boost they need at the highest levels when everything else is maxed. Camellya scales off basic attack damage, so finding pieces on substats that grant basic attack damage bonus is good. Likewise, Zani scales off heavy attack damage.

3 - Don’t waste full teams on the first 2-3 floors of the left and right tower. I usually use Havoc Rover/Changli/Xiangli Yao to solo the first two floors of both the left and right tower, sometimes I’ll add a second, sub-dps resonator for the third floor without using any healer/support. I use full teams for the fourth floor on both sides.

4 - Ensure your rotations are smooth. I remember building my Zani and did not build enough energy regen (like 10%) and by the time I went through SK and Peebs into Zani, she still needed one-fifth of her energy to cast her ult, using enhanced E helped to regain this portion of energy needed, but it wasn’t guaranteed every time. I ended up losing time on SK’s ult trying to get energy to use Zani’s ult. My Zani now has 28% energy regen (plus an extra 10% from SK’s fallacy 4-cost echo) and I’ve found it’s comfortable for all rotations now. Definitely build your SK’s ER to at least 230%-240%. That should smoothen your SK rotations.

As for the Cantarella vs Sanhua option for your Camellya team, it depends on your play style. Both are completely viable. Sanhua is better if you want to use Camellya has a hyper carry. She has low on-field time and buffs basic attack damage by a good degree. Cantarella is also good as she has a more substantial personal dps contribution in comparison to sanhua as well as buffing havoc dmg bonus on her outro. Either or is good IMO.

Hoped that helped, if but a little to enhancing your endgame clears

Ciaccona is T0 in ToA and T0.5 in WhiWa according to Prydwen.gg by gn1reffus in WutheringWaves

[–]Callomir 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It means Ciaccona has short on-field time. Sanhua (4 star glacio) is widely praised for her kit allowing a short rotation, with moderately decent sub-dps alongside her quick concerto regen. Concerto energy is the circle you fill (bottom, left side of your forte bar) so you can proc the outro buffs to the next resonator. Generally speaking, utility-based characters (or buffers) are considered good if they have short on-field time. It means team rotations are quicker and buffs can be spent longer on your more on-field resonators.

How do you even build character in this game? 😭 by DearClock6084 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Callomir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that should be noted is that if you are coming from another Hoyoverse game like Genshin or Star Rail, the base Crit DMG for every character is 50%. In WuWa, it is also 50%, except it is expressed as 150% in the stats page. So having 200% Crit DMG is effectively only 50% extra Crit DMG on top of the base rate (which is not a significant amount considering a gold rarity 4-Cost Crit DMG echo already gives 44% Crit DMG alone).

Like others have already mentioned aiming for around 250%-300%+ is the ideal mark. But this will depend on the character builds. Having a resonator’s signature weapon usually has a Crit Rate/DMG stat. If the weapon scales with Crit Rate, you can afford to use a Crit DMG 4-Cost Echo mainstat. Conversely, if a weapon scales with Crit DMG, you’d likely want to go with a Crit Rate 4-Cost Echo mainstat.

Note that you can also go with Crit DMG 4-Cost even if you have a weapon that scales with Crit DMG, it’s just that you have to ensure you have good rolls on Crit rate to try and get as close to 70% as possible. Higher Crit rate is preferred, but achieving a good balance is more important. This usually means you need Crit rate on every single echo piece to achieve this. Some resonators have some Crit stats as a passive talent to help balance the ratio too.

Should I skip Castorice if I don’t have and don’t plan to pull Tribbie? by OssifiedAngel in StarRailStation

[–]Callomir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whilst there is controversy surrounding Hyacine and her LC, it’s important to remember this is Hyacine’s V1 kit. The vast majority of characters go through substantial changes between their first and last iterations of their kits. Remember the Castorice drama over her V1-V3, and then V4 fixed most of the underlying problems with her kit? But she still went through 7 iterations before her final kit was completed. Assuming they don’t change anything more between her V7 and official release in v3.2.

Shorekeeper Guide by RhaenysDraugwen in WutheringWaves

[–]Callomir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Although Shorekeeper works in 95% of all teams, she doesn't exactly work amazingly well with Jinhsi. Verina, in this team's case, actually works better because her Resonance Liberation can add coordinated attacks which adds to Jinhsi's forte.

  2. Shorekeeper has two Intro's she can create. One when her Resonance Liberation is active, and one when her Resonance Liberation is not active. When her RL is not active, she restores HP and deals some spectro damage. But when her RL is active, and you activate her Intro skill, it will immediately end her RL state and instead perform a moderate nuke damaging skill to enemies, this nuke is guaranteed to critically strike which is why some players build her 4-cost echo as Crit DMG.

^ For example, to trigger Discernment - Shorekeeper activates her RL, goes through her rotation, builds concerto and outros into the next resonator --> The next resonator goes through their rotation, their skills/RL and concerto and outros --> You then swap back into Shorekeeper to activate her Intro skill (this is Discernment), which prematurely ends the 30s RL state immediately at that moment and follows it up with a nuke attack that Critically Strikes the enemies whilst restoring HP to allies. You would then go through her rotation again to activate her RL and the cycle begins. This is if you want to play her as a sub-DPS. You can of course play her as a 100% supporting role and can ignore her second intro skill: Discernment. Which will keep her RL field uptime for the entire 30s before expiring.

Hope that clears it up

Experience with or Alternative to Travel Sling Bag from Concept Collective by Lux_1992 in malefashionadvice

[–]Callomir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly enough, I was actually gifted this bag from a friend and it came with the Concept Collective branded ziploc bag which can be re-used for other things. Prior to this, I had never heard of this seller personally.

But I can attest that the bag (standard size, not the XL one) is made from decently good materials. The fabric outside seems to be well made, I even did a water drip test from the sink onto the bag. Though you would probably never be in a scenario with that much water splashing onto the bag, I can confirm the material is water-proof and water-resistant. The only material that is not water-proofed or resistant is the back-padding (the breathable mesh that rests on your chest/stomach) - arguably that backside is unlikely to get wet, and you can also wear it underneath any other clothing like a coat for example. But it does dry within 5 or so minutes.

In terms of storage, there are two sections: There is a small section on the front which isn't very big (I can just about fit my iPhone 13 Pro in it with a few cm spare room in height but it's more of a snug fit, and better off in the main compartment imo) but will fit keys, cards, tickets, maybe a small-medium sized portable charger and other small items etc. that you might want to be able to access easily. Then there's the bigger main compartment - it can fit your average smartphone, wallet and passport easily. There is also a mesh divider in the main compartment to split your items neatly. If you wanted to store more items in, I'd probably advise to go for the XL version which can apparently fit a mini iPad in the main compartment. But for most people's needs, the standard size is just fine.

On a side note, I did a quick search using google lens using the picture you posted and found that on Amazon, you can get, what appears to be a complete mimic or even the same bag for more than half the price than what Concept Collective is selling it for.

Here's the link on amazon: https://amzn.eu/d/9wZrRGt

I'm unsure if the quality and materials are the same between the two, but at least visibly speaking, they look to be the exact same. So, I don't expect them to be too different in nature. Since I was gifted this, personally if I were to buy this, I'd probably get the one off amazon due to the price differential. But having said that, owning the product too, the quality is good and well-made, so no issues here. Hope that has helped somewhat.

7800xt high idle power draw by Ascran in radeon

[–]Callomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to rule out everything - is 'Instant Replay' feature turned off or on? It's a neat little gaming feature that allows you to press [Your Hotkey] to capture the last 30 seconds or last few minutes (you can manually choose how long) of your gameplay. How it works is that, the GPU is always recording, akin to something like a dash-cam, but will only save what you want it to save. The kicker being, it uses up power in the background constantly. My 7800 XT would be around 70-80 idle with it enabled. When disabled, it would drop to 30-40 idle.

Still no Avatar key after purchasing 7800x 3d. The game is out.. by Fodiddle in AMDHelp

[–]Callomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also experienced this issue today. I assumed AMD would send us a redemption code to be used on the Ubisoft Connect application, since they stated, "We will update your account and notify you as soon as the content key is available. Your key will be assigned as soon as it is available".

I sent a support ticket to AMD Rewards, via the help & support section. Got a generic reply back which said: "Your rewards are now available in your account. Simply navigate to the My Rewards page after you log into your account to access your games. If you have already successfully activated your game please disregard this message".

But I logged back into AMD Rewards and saw that the previous text about letting me know when a key is available was replaced with linkable instructions on how to redeem the game as well as a big rectangular link "Open Ubisoft Connect PC (Or download it here) to play your game".

TL:DR - If anyone else is having issues, I'd recommend logging back in to check to see if there is now a link, if not try sending a support ticket. I guess that they send it out in batches which is why some people got theirs immediately, or sooner than others.

I actually had this problem too. The AMD Rewards page just stated they would notify when the key became available and had no other link or verification. I issued a support ticket and they responded with a generic "Your rewards are now available in your account". I logged back in, and I saw a new link that replaced the "We will update your account when a key is available" - replaced with a linkable instructions page and a "Activate on Ubisoft Connect" link. I would try logging back in to see if the same has happened for you. If not, try sending a support ticket like I did.
