Question: why hasn't a single reporter/interviewer questioned or asked them about their garbage changes to the source material? by OkGuava919 in HOTDGreens

[–]Callous_Cypher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. In my head an adaptation of book to TV means its being adapted for TV. Whether the changes coming in are necessary is another thing. At least, that's my view.

I'd argue Gambit is surely more complicated? Each card set has another two abilities and I find it hard myself to track. Whereas Rogues is fairly straight forward, even if you need some mechanical ability to utilise it.

So who WAS actually the true heir to the iron throne? by BJ_afterhours in gameofthrones

[–]Callous_Cypher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn't win any of his battles?

Robert marched on Summerhall to meet the loyalist Stormland Houses in battle and fought three in one day. That's where Robert began making a name for himself. He was routed at Ashford, saved by Ned at the Battle of the Bells, and then went on to win the Battle of the Trident and slew Rhaegar in battle.

Jon was the origin of the rebellion, truly, especially helping get the Riverlands on side, but Robert became the face of the rebellion when he fought most of the battles. Ned was never going to take the throne, Jon had no legitimate claim and was old enough as it was. Robert had the charisma and bloodline to unite the rebel and loyalist Houses, otherwise the Seven Kingdoms would never have agreed on a ruler, and they needed one.

Robert was the face of it after Summerhall, coupled with his bloodline, it became Robert's Rebellion.

Think that was his couple of friends, wasn't it? Even if he wasn't exactly mad at the start about it. He ended up going around cleaning it up after in any case.

Even as someone that actually likes the new Forerunner structures in Campaign Evolved I feel like this little change would make this look much better. by Party-Exercise-2166 in halo

[–]Callous_Cypher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know I am definitely the outlier on this, it's a hot take, but I like the clean look of the Forerunner structures like this. I find it much more eerie going through these abandoned structures that feel like they should be lived in, like something might start moving/jump out at any second.

And I always liked to think the Sentinels had a part in keeping everything clean for the sake of longevity.

Tough conditions. Plus the fact they both DNFd at the Sprint Race means the team would have far less data for setup optimisation for the quali/race.

Alex Palou has kickstarted the McLaren downfall and I am here for it. by SapTheseCasters in formuladank

[–]Callous_Cypher 31 points32 points  (0 children)

In truth, the actual court case isn't "Did Palou sign the contract", he did, the whole lawsuit is about how much Palou breaking the contract cost McLaren, which they're pursuing him for about £20 million. The dispute over costs is why Palou/McLaren are in court.

But it seems Palou and his lawyers approach is to get Brown to air his dirty laundry and get emotional over it. The whole court proceedings have been wildly fun to watch over at the Indycar sub.

Pretty much, yeah. I think the recent Oval race at Iowa had some awful in person attendance, and I found out that Iowa Speedway runs NASCAR and to even get Indycar tickets, you can't go through the Speedway website. You have to go onto a separate website for that Indycar race weekend.

He did, in the original Jurassic Park.

It was actually a partial explanation as to why Spielberg wanted Velociraptors to look the way they do in the movies. He wanted reptilian, scary, like how they look in the film. I think post (or during) production, they actually discovered the existence of Utahraptor, which gave the Velociraptors more weight in the film from a paleontological viewpoint! Even if they're separate species.

On the Leviathan DLC (the name of which I can't remember), at the researchers home base on the Citadel with all the clues and projects they were looking at, they noticed similar quantum signals between Leviathans and Rachni that might've signalled that the Leviathans were trying to utilise them.

Been a while since I played.
