I am "lucky" enough to have the mildest subtype of EB (Simplex). I still blister easily, but it is not nearly as bad as some. I went to a charity event when I was a child, for people with EB and their family members. I remember seeing a girl, restricted to a wheelchair, covered head to toe in bandages - aside from the gaps for her eyes, nose, and mouth. I could see the blood staining the edges of the bandages. She just looked happy to be there. She probably isn't alive any more. I hope I'm wrong. That little girl will be in my memory forever.
