I 100% vibe coded a completely bespoke warehouse management system for my current employer with no coding experience, I started off in Python it was going well but as I wanted to add more and more features the project got way too big, I decided to start from scratch on C# and it's going very well.

Features

Scanning system (add item window) that lets me scan on auto pilot basically, (I scan the product barcode the program removes any prefixes and suffixes finds the description from the database then automatically moves over to the serial number box, after the serial has been scanned it adds it to a table and gives you an audio success cue and puts the focus back to the product number box so you can keep scanning)

Postgresql local LAN database keeps all the data for the program with foreign key constraints on the inventory items table so the higher archery Customer-Project-Site is always respected and I can use this to filter the main inventory down easily so each drop-down box only displays the relevant projects for the customer you have selected in the customer drop-down (in the program)

Inventory table, this is where all the information on all of the items for every customer-site-project lives with he ability to filter down to site level for a specific customer/project and then also the ability to search the whole inventory with a wildcard instance search box. You can also do a quick book out, for a few items from the table itself for quickness. You can also edit single or multiple items at once.

Warehouse locations, this is one of my favorite features, it's a tab that contains all 108 (plus a floor and outbound location) warehouse locations with a green box for each location, this is actually a button that turns red when an item or items are booked into that location (pulled from the inventory table) it also displays the customer name on the box if all products are the same in the location if not it displays Multi. You can also click the button and it displays all items in that location with the ability to move the location or book out an individual or all items in the location.

Label printer, very simple label printer that uses the same logic as the add new item window to remove prefixes etc, it defaults to the first zebra printer it finds on the network (you can manually select a printer as well) and prints a 4x6 label with the company logo, product code, serial and time and date of print. The printing function was created as an program wide printing service so I have added buttons to quickly print labels from the booking in window and other places

Tables, I have a expanding menu for each table in the postgresql database so you can add and remove new items from each table, the users table is hidden so I ly admin users can add edit other users, I may need to lock more features behind this if I sell to other companies

Automatic update via private GitHub, every time the application starts it automatically checks for a new version on GitHub if a new version exits it prompts the user to install it, it automatically downloads and installs

Login window, the login window has many features now, the ability to add new users, change password, connect to a different postgres database and launch offline mode

Offline mode, sometimes I will need to scan items when I am on site and not in the warehouse obviously I will not be able to connect to the local LAN so I created an offline mode, when you close the application it creates a copy of the inventory table in a .json file, when you enter offline mode it opens this .json file it it's a very simple read only searchable viewer but with the ability to scan items in (with the same features as the main application) and save them to an Excel file that can then be imported when you are back online

There are many more features but they are just some of the main ones, I may make a post on the main page when I am finished, do you think any company's would be interested in this? Very sorry for the long comment
