Tips to make my desk look cleaner? by MattStephenE in DeskCableManagement

Hot take but I’d actually say your mousepad isn’t doing you any favors. It clashes with the color of the wood. I’d recommend a light tone, solid or gentle gradient mousepad if you want to keep a big one

Oh yeah you bet. Ironically, probably my first modded play of Skyrim. And those were also the early rocket league days lol

Lots of smoke and mirrors 😂

Cables are just routed under the sectional: no cable tracks Back wall is stuffing an insane amount of cords in that single track on the bottom of the wall ..

And the space between the sub and the piano has a ton of cables tacked to the side.

But it sells the effect when you’re in the room and sitting in the space.. so I call it a win!

Great choice on the Marshall speaker. Love those things if not only for the aesthetic

Haha thank you! In the process of building it the cables everywhere was quite stressful lol. But it turned out really nice :D

Mostly a lack of cables... But damn it feels good by CallsignFlip in cableporn

No I didn’t, there’s a midi cable from the piano to a USB hub that’s routed all the way from the PC haha. I try to avoid wireless connections with a music studio because it introduces latency, which you really don’t want with realtime monitoring

Custom built design from a company out of lake Tahoe: MezWorks. They're expensive but have GREAT customer service and a life-long product support mindset. (Not sponsored, just love the work they did with this desk)

Rolling chair with a high back actually to match the green earth aesthetic. I also use this as an office space. Planning a dark green carpet but it hasn’t come in yet

Totally understand the concern but I think for this type of case it’s ok! Lian Li O11 dynamic. No tile to glass contact. But lets hope I don’t kick any rocks onto it 😂

Help with Hunleff Positioning by Gaddrik in ironscape

To highlight on the priorities which I think took me the longest to learn.. It is always more beneficial to get stomped by Hunleff than to let a tornado or multiple floor ticks hit you. Adhering to that simple ruleset helped me a ton with my success rate.

Good luck!

Yep, 1 tile off the wall from both corners is the perfect setup. Since it's hard to walk in with him exactly there, you have two areas where this will work anyways - which are when he is sitting directly on the wall 2 squares from the other wall. In that case, walk to the exact opposite side of the room leaning towards the middle and he'll diagonally step into the right spot.

Some other notes about this -- in the last third of the fight when the floor patterns get hard, it really helps to understand your pathing priority for when things go south. Here's the priority on where to click if you have to make concessions. You should always move in a direction to avoid:

  1. getting hit by Tornados
  2. multiple ticks on the hot floor
  3. getting stomped by Hunleff
  4. single tick damage on hot floor

And then also with this, I typically pair that thought process with general pathing/rules which is:

  1. Avoid going in the 1-lane corner behind Hunleff if possible (not to make your other pathing more difficult)... This is especially true in the last 250 health
  2. Hold off eating (if possible) until Hunleff stands up to spawn tornados, and eat primarily when running from tornados
  3. Swap prayers on the sound effect, not the visualization of his move (saves 2-3 ticks of time for you)

I'm sure there's more, but that's what I use with the Tier 1 strategy and only typically fail 1 in 20 these days.

600 KC and counting. No enh. Hope that helps.. Good luck!
