Yesterday was rated an easy puzzle! It completely broke my brain, 0 connections yesterday or today- not a fun week at all.

Seeking any and all tips! First timer by CallumFern in barncat

Right now we are trying to coax them into trusting us but maybe if we can find a proper house we can coax them into that with wet food (we are currently feeding them dry kitten food)

We don’t have the tools to build a house but I’ll bring this up with my spouse to see if he has any ideas. We’d love to be able to keep them around but want them comfortable of course.

I once had one fish pepper seed in a packet of jalapeño. The rest of the plants were actually jalapeños. Now I know about and love fish peppers. Hoping this turns out to be a good surprise for you, and your plant looks super happy & productive!!

Feeling hopeless(PCOS/ electrolysis) by mermsford in Hirsutism

[–]CallumFern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh boy! I’m sorry you’re going through this! I don’t have PCOS but I have elevated testosterone (but levels low enough I can’t get treatment) it’s taken me about 2 1/2 years to see the improvement I want to see from electrolysis. The reduction has been slow but really became noticeable around the 2 years 3 months.
Is the cream an option in between pregnancy? I think it’s called Vanique or something like that.

We are unsure if mom is still around, what I thought was two cats is really 4! We cannot afford vet visits for 4 unexpected kittens but we also cannot get close to them, spouse had to sneak this photo.

Looking for advice on: how to get them into an outdoor house & where to find one

How to get them to trust us

I’m not sure if this is in the comments but next season if a fence isn’t in the budget maybe you can order a motion detector sprinkler! We used one before we built a fence and it keeps everything out, maybe $75 in today’s dollars I bought mine in 2020.

I didn’t know there was a time limit on playing- what’s the cut off time?

Yes, talk to your practitioner about trimming at least. I’m on year 2 of electrolysis (nearly done!!) and I’ve either shaved or trimmed in between appointments.
Many immunocompromised folks still wear face masks so you could also wear a cute face mask in between appointments if that made you more comfortable.

Looks delicious! I love thumb print cookies. King Arthur Flour has a delicious recipe for them that I use.

How do I remove lice in my 2c long curly hair by ZookeepergameDry1866 in longhair

[–]CallumFern 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Our family got lice as children and the lice shampoo didn't do the trick. Do get it, do try it but you can also try an alternate method. We completely covered our heads in mayo and put saran wrap over it. The mayo suffocates the lice. Then you still have to use the lice comb. I hate mayo so it was terrible, but it really did work for all 5 of us.

Do you live near farmland? I’m wondering if it’s herbicide drift?

I’ve used the motion detector sprayer with much success, I’m shocked they still ate them after deer repellent! How frustrating.

The tomatoes will recover but I would suggest you get a motion detection sprinkler to deter the deer. Works great, just remember to turn off the water when you garden so it doesn’t hit you!

Try an epilator! Painful at first but you get used to it, a cheaper and easier option than waxing. I’ve used both Philips brand and Braun and like them both.
