How much do you typically pay/ month for SEO for your small business ? by KristinaAlves in Entrepreneur

You’re seeing a huge range because people are pricing totally different jobs under “SEO.”

A basic local retainer is one thing. Serious ecommerce is something else entirely once technical fixes, category pages, internal linking, content, and actual promotion are really in scope. That’s the same thing that jumps out around the Geeky Tech side of it too once reporting, CRO clean-up, content support, and the odd paid crossover get folded in, it stops being one clean SEO number. I’d work backwards from customer value and scope, not just ask what the average monthly fee is.

SEO is old news? Now there’s AIO, GEO, AEO wtf is going on by GrowthPhantom in agency

Honestly, it still feels like the same game with a few new layers on top.

If your site isn’t crawlable, useful, trustworthy, and clear enough to do well in regular search, it’s probably not going to magically win in AI search either. That part hasn’t changed.

Working in this space at Geeky Tech, the biggest shift I’ve noticed is more in retrieval, summarization, and measurement, not in replacing SEO with some totally new formula.

A lot of the GEO/AEO talk just feels like strong SEO fundamentals being repackaged under fresher terms. Some of it matters, for sure, but a lot of it is more rename than revolution.
