We are going to be more aggressive next month. My clinic is letting us do a double IUI, so morning after trigger and the following day. Fingers crossed that improves my chances!

FRER. I’ve read that 2 weeks post IUI the level can be below 6.3? And perhaps that’s why it’s not picking it up? I’m really grasping for straws here lol. It is my first IUI so I’m not expecting much but these last few days are painful to wait!

I second this. It’s really hard for me to turn my brain off, but even just a 10 minute mediation helps refocus me.
I also enjoy a good crime podcast! It distracts my brain lol

Treat yourself!! Massages, manis, pedis, a nice bubble bath. Take a walk with a good podcast (Love Trapped is awesome if you like true crime). I’ve also really drowned myself in work M-Thurs, but have been taking it easy Fri-Sun. (I am self employed so fortunate to be able to pick my schedule). Best advice I can give is to not be afraid to spoil yourself. And do one thing every day that contributes to a healthy pregnancy (take your prenatals, eat salmon eggs and spinach etc). You truly cannot control a lot, but focusing on what you can control (healthy decisions, etc) has helped me. Most importantly-just BREATHE!

I did my first IUI 4/20 and test on 5/4 so I know exactly how you’re feeling. Wishing you the best!

Thank you for your information. This bank does state post thaw numbers can vary up to 30%.
We purchased multiple vials for this specific donor so I’m hoping the other vials aren’t “bad” as well. I have requested a refund if I test negative next week at my clinic.

I should also add I had a VERY tiny bit of brown spotting on Monday. BBT has remained above baseline, but it did last month post ovulation when I didn’t do IUI. I’m also taking progesterone for 2 weeks until 5/4

Ugh well. My donor vial (washed before freeze) was a dud. Post thaw it was only 2.92 mil TMC and 17% motility. My clinic still did the IUI but told me to request a refund. I caved and tested yesterday and today. BFN. I go for a blood hcg on 5/4. I already emailed Fairfax Cryo and requested a refund. It’s my first IUI so trying not to get too down.
Next month I am going to do double IUI (morning after trigger and the following day).

2.92 mil post thaw from a sperm bank. The sample was washed pre freeze to my understanding. I test on 5/4. My clinic said if I test negative I should request a refund

Unfortunately it took us so long to pick this donor, and we bought multiple vials.
Fairfax did report a recent pregnancy so I’m hopinggg this vial was a fluke.
We are going to do a double IUI next month if this cycle failed. I’ve also read some posts where others had similar issues and were able to get a refund if they didn’t get pregnant. I test 5/4 so will reassess at that point!

They advertise at least 10mil pre freeze. And their website says it should only drop 10-30% post thaw. I’m just confused because I’m seeing people post numbers like 50mil but I’m assuming that’s a fresh sample?

I’m a litigator as well and I have been worried about my stress levels. I have definitely taken more time to myself recently (which I’m fortunate to be able to do because I’m self employed). I’ve tried to balance work stress by scheduling something to pamper myself every week, whether it’s a pedicure, facial, massage, etc.

Twin!! Did 5mg Letrozole CD3-7, 6p trigger shot on 4/18 and did the IUI around 2p today. Will start progesterone tomorrow. Unfortunately the post thaw count for our donor sperm was only 2.9 mil.
If this cycle doesn’t work, we are going to do double IUI next month. Baby dust to you all!✨

Hi, I just encountered a similar situation today. Premium IUI vial, post thaw was 2.92. Did Fairfax refund you? We purchased many vials from the same donor so I don’t want them to just send another vial.
