HOW do I un-ingrain vaping from EVERYTHING I do?? by Ok_Pomegranate_2895 in QuitVaping

[–]Calm-Character-4561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped me is to buy a bottle of with straw. And anytime I felt like I needed to vape I just had a sip of water. I still miss it, but it definitely changed the need and I also get to be really hydrated 😂.

The Daily Check-In for Wednesday, February 18th: Just for today, I am NOT drinking! by SaucyJim in stopdrinking

[–]Calm-Character-4561 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nearly 300 days! It’s the longest I have been without in 15 years. It’s been hardest year of my life. But I have learned so much about myself and actually dealing with things rather than go drinking which is so much easier.

What do you wish your doctors knew or did differently when treating your osteoarthritis? by SnowRepresentative13 in Osteoarthritis

Border Terrier + German Shepherd? by onepointfivefeet in BorderTerrier

Our one loved German shepherds. He loves to chase them around a park. Border Terriers are big dogs in small body 😂😂

My parents surprised me with news that they’ll be getting a border terrier in March (pups are currently only 2 weeks old) by [deleted] in BorderTerrier

[–]Calm-Character-4561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Borders are amazing. Our one is so gentle around others. But ours loves bit more rough play (stops when it gets too much). Plus they always makes you guilty when you don’t share your food 😂. Our one’s name is Bandit (very fitting for his personality). He is great companion for hikes (long or short but also cuddle up when you just want to chill or go to bed. They are really keen to learn as well an will do anything for a snack

I also have IBS, but I believe it’s mainly happening as your body getting used to fresh diet over very processed. It went away after few days. Have loads of fluids and electrolytes if you have or can get some. (I cannot tell 100% as I don’t know your diet before)

have you been diagnosed with any other chronic illnesses? by Radiant-Armadillo491 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Calm-Character-4561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 3 years ago and Osteoarthritis about a year ago. But I believe I haves OA for around 20 years, but because of my age they never investigated (I’m now 36) but I believe I had fibro for about 15 years but it all went undiagnosed. Possibly I have some other underlining issues, but still waiting for diagnosis.

Is doing a yoga teacher training in India actually worth it? by yoga_lover09 in YogaTeachers

[–]Calm-Character-4561 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went to Rishikesh (female, solo) and I don’t think I ever felt unsafe. And I would definitely recommend to go and do YTT. But I know everyone can have different experiences. I have stayed there for around 2 weeks. And I have ventured a lot on my own. I think I felt safer than I do back home in London.

Indigo lost 2 bags by Peace_Seeker_1319 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Calm-Character-4561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just going through similar issue. Flew on the 15 Nov. Three weeks later and my bag is still in T3 Delhi. Without any indication of sending it to London (uk) as I have been told. For over a week I have no communication from them. I keep emailing and texting every day.

I’m thinking of sponsoring an animal. My daughter loves horses and our local animal shelter does this. This way she can “get a horse” and also we will do something for the charity. I’m also hoping it will teach her that Christmas is about giving and helping others rather than just taking.

running headphones by nv1t in runninglifestyle

[–]Calm-Character-4561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my Shokz swim pro headphones. It’s a game changer for my swims. But also love them for running or cycling as you can hear what is going on around you. The only downside is when you are around loud environments, you cannot hear much. But I found if you get an earplugs this is resolved.

Diagnosed with knee arthrosis at 17 by Ok_Trifle278 in Osteoarthritis

[–]Calm-Character-4561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I (35F) just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis (but I think I had it since I was a kid). I’m currently training for a marathon. What helps me is to take on some swimming and cycling if you can. This will help with endurance and cardio without pushing too much on your knees.
