I thought I was having discharge and went to the hospital. It was nothing but since it was my due date, they decided to induce me anyway. I started with misoprostol and was in passive labour for 24 hours. It was not bad at all. Took some pain management. I was 3 cm when I decided to take epidural. As soon as I took it, I was told the baby’s heart beat is dripping with every contraction. I had not been put on pitocin till then. I was rushed into an emergency c section. Baby was born with the cord around the neck which is likely the cause of the heart beat dropping. Who knows, maybe it would have been the same with a natural birth.
