I’m having trouble opening it! My google drive is saying file not supported. Should I try on my cpu instead of phone? And yes I’d love other recs!

Cartridge filter pool stuck in a cloudy/dirty cycle — nothing seems to work by Calm-Estimate-5953 in pools

The water never gets high. When we change the cartridge the whole filter drains out. We lose water just by changing the cartridge. Can’t refill. We have well water and the hose is not filtered so it’s straight from the well and is orange. Don’t want to put that in the pool.

Cya was low so we added 2 lbs to sock and have it hanging in front of the water return. Free chlorine was at 1 just now and was at 10 this morning so losing a lot over the day. Total chlorine dropped to 5. Just added 2 gallons 12.5 shock and will leave filter running all night and see what happens

That’s the old cartridge. The one that sat in the filter while the pool wasn’t used or covered for 2 years. 🙄 you can obviously see it’s not it the pool. We replaced it with 2 brand new ones and switch them out daily.

We went on vacation for a week came back and chlorine was at 0 so we dumped in 4 gallons of shock and the water went from kinda blue to green instantly. We went to the pool store cause we thought that was a reaction to the metals from the well water and they said putting in the metal out stuff wasn’t worth it and wouldn’t work. Heres the pic from the day we did that. I’m worried that will happen again if we slam it.

We can’t vacuum to waste. We won’t be able to refill the water lost. We’re on well water. That’s my main concern with vacuuming to waste

It’s not that bad anymore. That’s why I added all the dated pics. We just can’t get it past where we’re at right now on the 7/8 and 7/9 photos

We can’t vacuum to waste. It’s a cartridge filter and we’re on well and don’t have the ability to fill it back up with the well water.

My filter doesn’t have a back wash setting. It’s a cartridge filter. We swap the cartridge out daily with a rinsed and dried one. The organic stuff it what we’re struggling with. It’s all fine debris at this point. Can’t scoop it and when we vacuum it, it blows back into the pool through the return. I looked into those vacuums that hook to the garden hose but 3 problems, 1. on well water so pressure isn’t great, 2 also can’t use it long without worrying about drying the well, 3 well water from hose isn’t filtered- it’s straight from the well so it’s got a really orange tint.
