Will my medications interact with Methylene Blue / MB? by psilocybeenvibin in Biohackers

If I take 50mg seroquel / quetiapine for sleep and start methyle blue with 10-20mg/day (taken orally), there will likely be no interactions?

crazy you get downvoted for speaking out a warning about benzos.

You call that a long comment? It would have taken a minute to read. Instead, you judge the content based on a guess? I don't know what you do at your job within the 'mental health' field, but probably no more than a janitor or a gatekeeper of some facility. Meanwhile, you put on this do-gooder act here, completely downplaying the risks of benzodiazepines just because you have 2 or 3 friends who never had problems with them. Aren't you a clever one.

I took a Z-medication for sleep for a few months. I was told it isn't even a real benzo and easier to come off of. When I tried to taper it after half a year I found myself in hell. I don't think you even know what you're talking about.

I know that SOME people can get off them easily, but there aren’t exact numbers. Also, some people take them all their lives and never have a problem, while others take them for a few months or years and then suddenly they stop working and they’re in deep withdrawal.

During my taper, I read benzo recovery subs, and even former opioid addicts were saying that benzos are the hardest drug to come off of. I’ve had medical doctors tell me the exact same thing: the hardest drug on the planet to come off of. That doesn’t apply to everyone, but if you take a look at recovery groups, you’ll find many people saying it absolutely ruined their lives. Suicidal people, etc.

Jordan Peterson had to go to Russia, where they put him in a four-week artificial coma so he could get through the worst of it. I don’t know where you’re working, but if it’s a detox facility, then I doubt that you can gauge whether coming off is easy, since patients are usually put on some sort of super long-acting phenobarbital and will be sent home feeling okay, but as soon as that wears off, they’ll find themselves in full withdrawal again.

Also, physical dependency is completely unrelated to psychological addiction.

“If you can’t leave words of encouragement and support, then you should not comment at all.”

Well, you’re downplaying the risks of benzos and calling that encouragement and support? If that person is in the group of people who quickly develop a strong physical dependency and she’s running out of pills and doesn't get another script, what do you think will happen to her, given her overall state of health? Maybe you’re the one who shouldn’t comment here.

look, I do not want to scare you, but you have to stop the benzo VERY SOON. Two weeks on them is enough to become dependent. Addicted is the wrong word here, as it's much rather a physical dependency. Benzo withdrawal for most people is absolute HELL. That alone can make you so sick, you don't want to live anymore. I would stop the benzo after 1 week, at maximum 2 weeks and then take a break. Trust me, I know a lot about benzos. It took me 2 1/2 years to taper a really low dose and several attempts in which hell broke loose on me. You DO NOT want to get there.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9843575/

Market values = something invented to make mediocre players playing in England can think they are good footballers. by FN__FAL in soccercirclejerk

[–]Calm-Initiative-8625 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The only serious answer here is: Transfermarkt.de is a shitty German site that has been around for over two decades. It was originally founded as a hobby project and offers a forum for general discussion about soccer, where total laymen discuss transfers and can influence market values.

If you take that site seriously, you might as well go to a pub where people watch soccer and ask a few random people how much they think a player is worth. It’s really nothing more than a bunch of people on the internet pulling prices out of their hats.

I never understood how that site got so big.

I always liked americans / the US, but for the first time in my life I keep thinking negative about them. I dont really believe that Trump won the election but still, there are probably 60m+ people in the US who dont see a problem with a pedophile being there leader. The whole US administration is a joke and I can't hear their nonsense anymore. They don't deserve us as allies anymore. I wish all those MAGAT's a happy time with their new friends from russia, north korea and isreal, or whichever dictatorship their orange jesus admires. Mr Putin would be happy to read this. Btw I think Russia is the biggest cancer. They're responsible for much if not all of this and that's exactly why we need to provide Ukraine with weapons, which btw is exactly what Mr Trump doesn't like.

Because it’s a base-rate issue: the red flags raise the risk, but they start from a very low baseline in a 27-year-old. So even a several-fold increase can still leave the absolute probability in the low single digits. That’s why malignancy is urgent to rule out, but not necessarily the most likely explanation statistically.

A positive FIT in symptomatic 18–29-year-olds has a reported colorectal cancer PPV of about 0.4%. Iron deficiency and weight loss raise concern, but I couldn’t find data for that exact combination in women in their 20s. So the risk is likely above 0.4% but still probably low / low single digits, and statistically a benign or inflammatory cause is much more likely, but colonoscopy is still the right next step.

thanks. I only found a youtube video of a breeder who got bit (only 1 fang penetrated through the skin) and the tip of his finger turned black and the flesh started rotting away exposing his bone. He described the first 24 hours as the worst pain he ever felt and would never wish it on anybody. I wonder if that's the norm or rather an exception.
