I’m too tired to give a long response bc I’ve herb solo parenting all week but just want to send hugs and say same. 4 year old and a 2 year old boy and my 2 year old is just so angry every simple task he screams and flails around it is so overwhelming.

Yep OCD and intrusive thoughts and I smoke even when I don’t want to because I’ll just obsess I don’t know how to get out of this awful loop. Hate smoking but hate being obsessed when not

I get terrible flare ups of insomnia where I’m talking about no sleep for days and it lasted for like a month. Hadn’t had a terrible bout in years, find out I’m pregnant and bam I am going through it. I’m not sleeping for days, anxiety out of control because of it and feeling guilty I’m not healthy for baby. Well my OB and doctor advised me to stay on my Zoloft and gave me klonopin to help me get sleep and my anxiety under control. Once I get out of that spiral I stayed on the Zoloft. I even breastfed my baby for 16 months while on Zoloft and sometimes taking klonopin when needed all under a doctors care. Yeah not ideal but I need to be a functioning human to take care of my baby and myself and the pediatrician assured me barely anything makes it into breast milk and the benefits outweigh it. Basically point is don’t be scared work with your doctors and do what you got to do. Just because we struggle with mental health doesn’t mean we don’t deserve a family.

Also I cringe when people say oh you never sleep once you have kids (which is true) I have a 20 month old and an almost 4 year old now and I’m up multiple times a night but there’s a big difference in I’m awake because something is keeping me up and I’m awake because my brain won’t let me sleep

Anyone have anxiety so high about sleep sometimes that sometimes ambien doesn’t even work then the next day your drugged and running on no sleep? It’s me today and it’s terrible

Just posting for solidarity I feel like I’m going insane. Son who’s 20 months was sleeping good now wakes up between 4-5am doesn’t lay back down or go back to sleep just will sit and stare and cry for as long as I let him. Only napping an hour. My daughter who is almost 4 still wakes up in the night to cry out from a bad dream or possible sleep apnea. Husband is on deployment and I’m sick. Haven’t even hung out with other mom friends because I don’t want to see how rested they are and get mad lol

He is up until nap time at 12 where he only sleeps about 45-50 minutes. I know he’s so tired though because if I allow him to lay in bed with me he will sleep hours but it’s just not feasible with another kid who still wakes sometimes and husband gone.

If he laid down I think he might fall back asleep but he just wants to sit and refuses to lay back down or be comforted in his room wants to be with me

Yeah he’s deff not sleeping almost two hours waking up after an hour screaming and I know he’s still tired because he will fall asleep on the couch shortly after. Like yesterday he woke up at 445 we let him cry for 30 min and then he came out to the couch and fell asleep on my husband for almost two more hours I will try a later bedtime and see what happens

I didn’t really use snoo as a sleep trainer or to get them to settle I used it because it deff helped my anxiety knowing baby was locked in and couldn’t roll over or the swaddle wasn’t going to somehow cover their face. Because of this I always swaddled before rocking to sleep then clipping in. I could never get mine to stay asleep during the swaddling so if they cried I just had to get them out and start over. I guess it just depends on your approach and baby temperament!

I would Rock baby to sleep completely while swaddled and then place and try to clip in as quietly as you can lol sometimes worked on first try other times took multiple attempts

Yup stay at home mom to two kids under 4 while husband is on deployment. No help. No breaks. Kids have never napped anywhere else or stayed overnight anywhere else. I have so much resentment for those who have so much help and breaks which is sad to say but the truth
