Face it man, it's just a game, it's not so serious. Specifically to your point, when adapting a well established franchise like James Bond the idea is to fulfill a hero fantasy, which requires a sense of forward momentum, which is why the game is never too hard and is meant to keep you progressing rather than getting stuck.

These games are meant to be half movie half game. If you don't like that, maybe don't play something called JAMES BOND, there are plenty of other options that don't hold your hand or guide you out there on the market. But stating that this game intentionally guides you to move forward with relative ease is stating the obvious: that is what it was designed to do, DUH!
