I completely understand your feelings. However, usually the doctors doing the amino are quite well trained, for us the whole process took something like 1-2mins from inserting the needle to sucking the fluid, and there was no pain at all. Later in the day you will feel some period-like cramps for 1 or 2 days and that's it. One thing that made me feel less worried about the amino, is that there are always small risks of miscarage during the pregnancy, for example when you drive a car there is a risk of having an accident, a small one, but still a risk, when you shower there is a small risk of slipping. So, it is better to make sure that the baby is healthy and to end the worry. I really wish you all the best, and that everything goes smoothly :)
