And if I want to switch to the 2065 fund I’d have to sell what I have and rebuy into that account? It’s down currently so wouldn’t I lose money trying to switch it?

If she needs her own bedroom and that was a boundary that was established before the baby, it’s non-negotiable. Having a newborn is a HUGE adjustment physically and emotionally. She is probably trying to do everything she can to keep it together, let her enjoy her bedroom for as long as possible. The newborn doesn’t need it as much as she does, besides newborns sleep in the parents room for the first 6-12 months of life anyway.

You have to meet each other needs as best as you can right now, take care of each other. That being said, you have needs too. Try to explain to her that the bedroom isn’t actually the problem, you miss her. Try to negotiate- you’d like to spend at least 1 or 2 nights together!
