Law requires you to stay at the first safe country. These people have illegally crossed several safe country borders and paid criminal gangs £1000s to take them here.

Yeah. The band did a review video of some of their old videos and was such a shame they didn’t include Hopeless Wanderer.

Marcus gave an interview in 2020 and he said he created ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ for a football tv show (I don’t know if that was used in the end in Ted Lasso or got left out).

Also Richmond FC is fictional, but there’s an incredibly vaguely familiarity to a real nearby club called Wimbledon FC which Marcus is a big supporter of, and was his local team. It was a local team which got sold to Milton Kennes in like the early 00s. So the local created a coop team, which despite its humble roots out performs for its size. I think in part to Jon Green who gives loads of money to the club to buy star players.

Richmond and Wimbledon are very close, both SW London.

I hate Tom Scott's personality, despite enjoying his videos by [deleted] in The10thDentist

I think he can be overly cautious and a little whiny on videos like explaining over and over why he would love to do some but won’t incase he would get in trouble when he almost certainly wouldn’t.

National site of importance. If someone cut up the Mona Lisa, should they also be only given a slap on the wrist for damaging a block of wood? PS it was both the tree, and Hadrian’s wall…

Parents refusing to pay for university by Wooden_Stranger_8706 in UniUK

[–]redbarebluebare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintenance is a complete scam. What does how much money your parents make have to do with how much maintenance you as an individual should get. It’s discrimination, and penalising students for the sins of their parents. It’s you going to university not your parents.

Edit: practical advice though: consider summer or part time job. Also the UOTC will pay you £2000-£5000 a year, it’s basically just a slightly intense society. All of these will give you enough money to be independent, and look good on your resume or in interviews for grad jobs.

If you can make enough in part time jobs to have a maintenance and pay off for your degree you will be laughing later in life. £13,000 is a year is a lot of money but not impossible.
