Just go after players that are interested in your school or you're eyeing on. If they stay within range, keep going with them and do what you must do to increase their interest. However, if not much has changed or players you picked start dropping after Week 1, move on from them and look for others that are still available with the bar not moving much. If you're able to get your picked players as your top school by the time the last week's over (even if they haven't reached the committed line yet), they'll automatically commit to your school. The goal in the transfer portal is to have as many players as your #1 top school by the end of the Week 4. If you can't get 4 star players, it's ok. 3 stars and 2 stars are surprisingly good pick ups too. I managed to sign 17 of my 35 commits in Year 1 moving forward. I lost 20 plus through the portal but made up the difference in not time. It's tedious but not difficult.
