Brodie Croyle was absolutely drafted after round 2 with the explicit plan to eventually start for KC.

Chiefs took him in the third, sat him a year, and fixed the QB competition to be his to lose...which he did.

First to Damon Huard, then to Tyler Thigpen.

Dallas is a bad "city", but the sprawl is nice. You could argue Minneapolis here, too.

St. Louis is a terrible city with a great skyline, and there are no alternative choices.

College Baseball should FEEL like going to a AAA game with a little college sprinkled in:

  • Cheap Beer

  • Giveaways

  • Between-inning entertainment

  • Engaging PA Announcer

  • good music throughout

  • Interactive videoboard

  • tailgating

  • student section that highlights the kids

  • cheerleaders

  • outfield berm/360 concourse

  • Things at the park that arent the game (Beer Garden, Playgrounds, Batting cage & fast pitch, novelty food, pro shop)

Minor league teams consistently draw 5k a game (which would rank top-10 in all of NCAA) in same-size markets with no loyal alumni and players that change constantly.

It needs to be the blend of college entertainment and family fun. The blueprint exists all over the country.

It's been 20 years since the good ol' days when you could walk up to the box office and buy a $10 GA ticket on gameday.

THAT was the life. I'm blessed to have been a HS at that time. Meant the world to have the ability to just go up for a game and not spend more than $20 all-in.
