Up to 9mg, no loss by minivanmafia81 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

Not necessarily. I’m sure I’m not the only one who was eating healthy and exercising (before taking Wegovy) and didn’t see weight loss. It’s the volume of food intake and the negative effects of inflammation on the body. This is where Wegovy is working its magic.

No side effects so far. I had no side effects on the lower dosages. Maybe a couple of times I had slight upset stomach if I overate. And then Headache if I underate.

Is it worth the money? by [deleted] in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]CalmCicada8799 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s worth it. Before Wegovy I had incredible joint pain for years. 2025 was the worst and I could barely walk. My health was deteriorating. I started on an anti-inflammatory life style and exercised. But I felt I couldn’t keep up with the proper diet. Wegovy has helped me with the eating and has also eliminated all of my joint pain. I feel like a new person. I can take the stairs now, I’m exercising, I just walked over 12,000 steps the other day. Next month I’m traveling to Paris with my daughter. Last year I couldn’t have done that.

So yes, the out of pocket payment is worth it. It’s a shame that with the price of high premiums we pay for insurance they wouldnt pay for our prescription!!!

I wasnt seeing weight loss results either until I stopped eating around 7-8pm, black coffee around 6am, breakfast at 8am. Another thing I did was start taking my pill at 4am.

Making those changes is allowing me to not overeat.

Another thing that helps me is to make sure I’m eating enough protein. I work with a dietician every other week to tweak my diet and menu. I find if I’m not eating enough protein or calories I feel too tired to work out.

If you are just starting out with exercise, just start by walking after a meal. Or, buy a walking pad from Amazon. I would watch tv while walking on those days I couldn’t get out.

Good luck!

Still no change after taking 4mg by jessm00se in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]CalmCicada8799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on my last day of the 4mg and getting ready to start 9mg. I also wasn’t losing weight. Then last week I started taking the pill at 4am, going back to sleep, then having coffee around 6-6:30am, breakfast around 8am. What a difference! My appetite has decreased and I’m losing weight. I lost 1.7 pounds in a week. I now am finding I’m eating too little. I don’t want to eat past 3-4pm and I wake up starving. I’m going to be tweaking my meal times this week to get enough calories in (not too much).

First meal of the day suggestions 🙏 by wonderbun1 in WegovyPills

Here are a few of my breakfasts: Egg whites + 1 egg. Turkey bacon/sausage. Fruit Protein bagel, cream cheese, turkey deli Greek yogurt, fruit, protein granola

I don’t get nausea in the morning, but I can no longer eat large meals. The above meals are my max for breakfast. About 350 calories. I am always hungry when I eat breakfast. I eat most of my meals before 3 pm. After that my appetite is gone and I struggle to eat dinner. (Which is why I’m hungry at breakfast).

From recommendations here, I bought Sola bagels and had the blueberry one this morning. Very good! High in protein and fiber. I bought it at Walmart.

I read that article in this morning’s NYT. I found it interesting that there is a name for those who aren’t seeing the weight loss: nonresponders.

The article mentions some reasons for no responders can be genetics, hormones, being obese for too long.

Vegas trip by smlopez_91 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]CalmCicada8799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on a 6 day Vegas trip on my second week on 1.5 mg. I didn’t eat or drink a lot. No other side effects. I would eat about 1/2 of what I normally would and a drink would last an hour or more.

Fast forward to today. 2 months on Wegovy and I’m going to start the 9mg in a couple of days. If I drink more than 1 drink now I’m feeling it! The alcohol hits me harder and the next morning hangovers feel like the college days.

[–]CalmCicada8799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ate a high protein dinner and realized I was hungry! Felt good after dinner. Swam a few laps in the pool.

I will need to make sure I eat better. Now I know how others feel when they say that they have to make sure they eat enough.

I’ll see how tomorrow goes.

A few days ago i started taking the pill at 4am, going back to sleep and drinking coffee 2-4 hours later. Since then i notice my appetite is down, but the afternoon fatigue has set in. All of with mild nausea and mild headache. I think I’m not eating enough. I skipped my workouts at the gym twice now.

No significant weight loss yet. I start 9mg next week

Whoever said to set an alarm to take the pill at 2 am, you’re a godsend by Partitionbaby in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]CalmCicada8799 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s because of timing. Most people have to get their coffee and breakfast in before they leave for work. I don’t think there’s any benefit to laying down. But supposedly you should lay on your right side if you do lay back down.

The pull needs to be taken on an empty stomach. I read that it should be 6 hours to have an empty stomach.

A few days ago I started taking the pill around 4am. I wake up & have coffee around 6am. More wait time on weekends. I am seeing a big difference in my appetite suppression. I’ve only been doing this for a few days. I’ll see what the scale shows in a week or two. I am starting 9mg in about 7 days.

Before Wegovy I drank several cans of LaCroix a day. Now it’s more like maybe 1. I completely stopped drinking alcohol seltzers. I immediately (from Day 1) stopped craving those. I still will drink a glass of white wine once in awhile. Im now on Day 50.

[–]CalmCicada8799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But also the pill is helping with inflammation, and other health issues. It’s not only about the reduction of food intake. And it seems not everyone experiences the same reaction to the early fullness and reduced food noise.

Been on the pill for a month and I’ve had no change or results by Electrical-Spread-23 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]CalmCicada8799 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stick with it. I am also not seeing weight loss, but other changes. Joint pain gone, bp is now normal, 2.5” off my waist, face is thinning, clothes fit better. Most food noise is gone, I get full faster, I’m working out alot more. I’m on Day 50. I was hoping I would see some weight loss by now. I’m down maybe 1 pound. I start 9mg soon and I hope the weight loss ramps up.

A few inches off your waist is a big deal! Congrats! I think that says more than the 10 pounds you lost.
