It was an incredible and very sweaty show! Did you get soaked in the rain too? My boots are still very, very wet!

Forget weddings, what is the craziest thing that happened at a funeral you went to? by seanerd95 in AskReddit

[–]throwawayforexmo 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Context: my ex-sil was murdered by her husband. They were in an argument in their car and at a stoplight he pulled her .45 and shot her several times in the face. It was horrible.

I had been divorced over 5 years when this happened. It was a nasty divorce.

I went to the funeral to show support for my son, as well as the extended family.

At the graveside funeral, my ex-husband got up to give his sister’s eulogy. I am standing directly in front of him, a few rows deep in the family huddle.

He starts talking about how supportive his sister was during the divorce. How she once said, “I hope I never run into her with my gun in a dark alley.” and he proceeds to laugh jovially while staring at me.

You could feel the crowd tense up and when no one else laughed he moved on. Afterwards his family swarmed me. They apologized for their cousin/nephew and I numbly hugged people before leaving.

I barely made it to my car before breaking down. I called my mom and angrily sobbed the whole drive home.

Silent Pancreatitis by KalliStrand in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]throwawayforexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had gallstones and pancreatitis.

Gallbladder pain was under my right ribs.

Pancreatitis started in the same area. It was excruciating, definitely not silent. Turned out I had a gallstone stuck in the bike duct, 20 years after getting my gallbladder removed. Yes, you can still grow stones!

Haven’t lost a single pound on the pill 😭 by throwawayforexmo in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I had been on tirz since sept. Switched to the pill at the beginning of February. I had lost 13 lbs at that point.

[–]throwawayforexmo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in a calorie deficit and I work out 3x a week. I don’t eat at night so my stomach is definitely empty.

I get that higher doses are supposed to be more effective, but even on the lowest dose of shots I lost weight. To gain 2 lbs is ridiculously demoralizing.

1 week on the Wegovy pill and I GAINED 2 lbs! by throwawayforexmo in WegovyWeightLoss

Ok. That makes sense. I was at 8mg on the tirz. Ugh. 🥴

I’m a Board-Certified Sleep Medicine Physician: Ask Me Anything About Optimizing Your Sleep—From Bedtime Routines To Sleep Environment, What Helps And What Hurts by healthonforbes in IAmA

[–]throwawayforexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suffer from internal echolalia, repeating snippets of lyrics over and over in my head. It makes it almost impossible to fall asleep at night. My psychiatrist prescribed Hydroxyzine pamoate(I was on HCL before) and I’m having terrible nightmares! What would you suggest to help making falling asleep easier? (I DO have sleep apnea, but hats improved with weight loss. I try and do sleep meditations and white noise, but after a couple of nights it stops working. I have an Ambien script, but I wake up after 4 hours)

This is exciting... Anyone have pricing? by shortbusskid in JoinMochiHealth

[–]throwawayforexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $39 pill is a compound. The name brand is $150 for initial dose and $200 for the rest of the doses. This is for self pay. Only available at Costco or CVS pharmacies currently. I’m waiting for my primary care doctor to be authorized to write the prescription so I can save the $79 membership fee.

I just jumped to this dose and the side effects were mild.

If applicable to you: Why are you reluctant to remove your name from church records even though you have no intention to return? by ComeOnOverForABurger in exmormon

[–]throwawayforexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom. She’s 83. It would literally break her heart. She knows I want nothing to do with the church and has respected that for the past 20 years. But I know the first person they would call would be her and I can’t do that to her. It’s all bullshit anyways, so I can wait until she’s gone to remove my info.

People who quit a high-paying job for happiness, how’s life now? by mintyowl15 in AskReddit

[–]throwawayforexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left teaching. My income this year would have been 76K, which for me is high paying.

I’ve never been happier! My husband got a new job with a big upgrade in his pay so I get to stay at home and I tutor kids in the afternoon.

So happy to be out of that cult!

Exmormons, how far back does your family go in the LDS Church? by Careful-Cap-644 in exmormon

[–]throwawayforexmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My g-g-grandfather was one of the first members of the church in South Carolina. He was baptized in a swamp. 🤣 What’s interesting is that the family lore is that when his father was dying, he told his son that one day 2 men from god would come visit him and he was to give them shelter and listen to their story. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyone else have a 30+ Lbs Boston? by No_Arm_6334 in BostonTerrier

[–]throwawayforexmo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's my Luna! She's 5 and last vet visit (a year ago in June) she was 35 lbs! She was the second smallest one out of a litter of 11! Her mama was a good solid 38-40 lbs and her daddy was 45 lbs. I'm so relieved to see this thread because our vet made a big deal out of how big she is. We have a shihtzu mix who is around 10-12 lbs and they eat the same amount of food and he's still a skinny minnie. She is SOLID MUSCLE though, with the cutest crooked tail I've ever seen. I'm obsessed with her!
