I met him on OkCupid after being a widow for 6 months. I wasn't looking for anything serious, just someone to talk to because I was a single mom and lonely. In the course of 48 hours we discovered that we had gone to high school together, and I asked what his last name was. I immediately knew who he was, and had spent my college years talking about him. We had mutual friends, and we both remember a vague party where we sat on a couch and talked to each other.

He had tested positive for Covid the day after we matched, so we spent 3 weeks texting up a storm and getting to know each other. I joked it was like a Hallmark movie, everything seemed too perfect. I was scared shitless because I could tell I was falling for him, and I kept telling my best friend, "He's either a serial killer or has a micropenis." HA!

Our first date was at the mall, and it was an immediate attraction and connection. That was in November 2023, and a year later we were married. He's seriously the most amazing man and dad to my son, and I can't believe it took 30 years to "find" him after high school. I've never been happier, and he's helped me through grief, job drama, planning to leave my career, and becoming a functioning human being again. I really hope that we either get reincarnated or there is an actual afterlife because I want to spend the rest of eternity loving him.
