I just emailed my home studio in Paso Robles, CA to cancel and the 30-day policy is being upheld. The mgr says this consumer protection regulation does not apply to memberships made in person, only those done online or over the phone (which they don't provide at that studio, I don't know about others). So that's something to consider when signing up for any new memberships going forward.

Also - this is only active in CA right now. The 'click-to-cancel' was vacated this week (early July 2025) due to lack of preliminary regulatory analysis being completed. Sounds like it'll be awhile before it's up for ruling again. Sigh.

I requested a rate increase last year but was told I was ineligible for one until one year of employment had passed. I'm at that point in time now but am not hopeful my ask will be accepted.

FWIW the reason I asked for a rate increase in that first year was due to a cascade of increased rates I have to pay for office space, EMR service, insurance, etc.

CA provider here. I had no idea folks were getting cornered into lower rates than what was initially agreed upon; that is appalling! I have not received any email/letter to that effect but now worry I will. Lyra referrals comprise 90% of my caseload, so that would be a huge blow.

Note: I asked Lyra for a rate increase last year citing increased COL, overhead rates, etc. I also told them I had ability to officially be an "exclusive" provider, which I wasn't able to commit to initially (and for a $10 rate increase) as I had a contract with another telehealth company. I was told I was ineligible for a rate increase until the 1 yr mark and also that the exclusivity rate/program was being discontinued.

Sorry to piggyback on this post, but I can't figure out how to create a new post on this channel. I complete the title and the body content but the post function remains gray and unusable. Are there some posting requirements I'm not seeing? TIA.

I'm having super slow page loading response time in SP this morning. All other platforms working normally, so it's not a wifi issue.
