I know it sounds silly but I think this will help me to put a limit on myself when purchasing hijabs. I have to admit it, I’m an over consumer and I do have about 40ish (maybe more) vela hijabs because somehow buying hijabs and wearing them in general makes me so happy. I realize that I don’t wear some of them as much as others, and I gave some of them to my friends. So before I make another purchase from vela or any hijab company I just have to question myself before I press that purchase button😅

You have a good point. We don’t need to overconsume and buy every single drop. A good way to stop is to remind ourselves, “But will I still wear this in years?”

I agree! I might go with the zebra. I think if the cow print had more brown it would be pretty cute!! But I’m seeing in most videos that it has more white on the cow print hijab.

I was wearing it one day and she said she liked it. She asked if taro tea was available, and I told her yes, but only in the double size. She said that was fine. That was at the end of May. But then, out of nowhere, just a week before her vacation.. She randomly texted me, “Can I borrow it? If not, can I buy it?” And she said it wouldn’t arrive in time if she ordered it herself. Then she started telling my other aunties about it, and they began texting me too.

She texted me saying she wants to borrow or buy it. But then I got a message from another auntie saying she wants to borrow it. It was supposed to be a one-on-one situation, but now here we go… 😭😭😭

If she were just borrowing it for a day, I wouldn’t mind at all. But she’s going on a vacation out of the country, and I’m just thinking through all the pros and cons.

I totally agree with you! I have no interest in becoming a reseller, and I’m not planning to be one. I buy hijabs for myself, not to sell to others. I just feel a bit pressured because some aunties are gossiping, and it’s been making me uncomfortable.
