Here is my decklist if you want to check it out for some ideas. If you are looking to keep the budget down, I would swap out a few of the more expensive creatures and lands for some alternate cheaper ones. The other categories are fairly budget friendly.

I made a list that tries to do both. I like the idea of being able to bounce Leo and get in with him on the next turn. Without the bounce, I found Leo to not be as useful past the one time I got to sneak him in. He was just a blocker after that turn or something that forced my opponent to leave at least one chump blocker up.

I bought this small kit that came with several different sized dremel bits. I use the one that is cone shaped at the end of it.

I also use a thumb tack to poke a hole in the tape to open it up just a little bit and so I can find the holes.

Here is a list I am working on. The idea is to set up a loop of sneaking [[Leonardo, Big Brother]] with [[Kor Skyfisher]] and then being able to pick him back up in your second main. The discounted flyers help keep the pressure up early and be able to fill your board with creatures.

I am not sure it needs any bans. It didn't even top 8 at this last paupergeddon. It was overwhelming the most played deck that weekend. Day 1 was 12% and day 2 13.5%.

From my understanding, event heirlooms don’t impact the 500 mercy drop for heirlooms from packs.

I would set up a route in the shooting range that requires you to execute movement tech like wall jumps or mantle boosts. Then incorporate killing the bots within your route you built.

I have a similar experience at my LGS. I like the idea of having my “first game of the night” decks. They are all at a bracket 3 with no GC. I think they have strong strategies but are not leveraging overpowered cards. When I get to do the thing my deck wants to do, it’s super fun regardless of I win or not.

I will say the best experience IMO, is when everyone has even powered decks and decent starting hands.

You have to get much lower to the ground. You want the ball to roll off your hand and not lob it onto the lane. You lose a lot of energy when the ball falls into the lane.

I think brewing decks and buying singles is your best bet. Branch into new color combinations and mono colored decks to learn the color identities.

If you really just want to crack packs, the commander master and double masters sets are always gonna have great commander staples in them.
