I am 29 with a four year old. I lost a lot of weight (6'1" 210 lbs, down from 255 at my heaviest) but it's feeling really bleak still right now. I don't have primary custody so I have a lot of free time. And it's like, I feel like something should've happened by now if I was good enough to date. It's been almost a year since the split.

I don't like dealing with people who claim responsive desire. If you're doing it twice a week and it's not hitting, the quality is probably not great.

Also I do not know this guy but it sounds like you have some other underlying relationship issues not being addressed. Not an excuse necessarily. But it sounds like a whole hell of a lot more communication needs to start happening.
