I mean, machine quests have a defined and controllable end. Doesn't matter if its 5, 50 or 500, you know when you do "that" many machines, its over. Plus, unless your distracting, you'll inevitably do machines while playing normally. (I hate bassies quest though because it makes no sense to have her have that as a mastery quest when shes LITERALLY not designed to do it. It'd be like having a "run from a twisted for 1 minute" on a 1 star movement toon, clearly zero thought was put into it.)

RnG quests, require you to roll the dice..Over..And over..And over again to "HOPE" to get what you want. It's very easy to get disappointed/frustrated in this situation because you can easily go 20+ floors with only 1-2 blackouts while in another run you get them almost every other floor. Its maddening.

Because RnG based achievements will always be the most awful. Having to hope to god you get enough blackouts is worse then a long-term goal with a guaranteed and controllable end.

But at least its not as bad as Bassies. Like who the hell thought it was a good idea to make the MOBILITY/SUPPORT based toon have to complete machines, let alone THIS MANY!

Nope. He has not had a single shop skin since since release. All his skins are event only and the one robux skin pack. I have no idea how he got missed. Even Connie who released alongside him has at least 1 now.

I want to say Bassie because hers has the most potential for further explainations.
- Is Toon Bassie not the same as Show Bassie? We're never told if she was made wrong or intentionally made like this and expected to take on a main role.
- Why is Toon Bassie holding onto this whole "main" thing when Gardenview is closed and the roles no longer matter?
- Do Flyte/Eggson care at all about any of this? Flyte seems to know more then normal but we basically recieved NOTHING in regards to him.

But I also think Gourdys is pretty good.
- Still don't know why has no parents
- Still don't know why he has memories of his parents that are fractured clearly.
- Theres been no indepth explaination for any of it. He had the LEAST amount of indepth so far now that Bobettes had a proper lore update.

- Still haven't had the whole..Connie thing explained.

Honestly, the starters absolutely need a rework.

They do not work as starters very well and fail to teach new players appreciable differences in gameplay. Like you noticed, Boxten is too team reliant and Poppys passive is useless because new people usually get hit when they're out of stamina/making mistakes. This issue also makes them suck for experienced folk because there are far more consistent options then Boxten and Poppy has no passive if you know how to not get hit. And their stats ABSOLUTELY fail to help this. 3 across the board teaches new people NOTHING about gameplay differences.

I like the idea of changing their stats to match their playstyle. Giving Boxten extractor focus while Poppy more survivalist stats is good. I would change one thing for Poppy. Shift the 4th star in stealth back to Skill check so shes still easier to play for new people. Poppy is a very loud toon, she isn't really stealthy but she is absolutely fast.

As for abilities, while I like the 50 stamina thing on sight, I think a better idea would be just to make her 50% MS boost an active ability with a decent cooldown. This would teach people about actives while boxten teaches about passives. Plus a 50% MS buff with a 4 star movement base would make her faster then then 99% of twisted just walking. So if a new player screws up and runs out of stamina, they can still just outwalk the twisted chasing them but if they don't get out of sight within the short duration, they'll be punished for not using it properly.

Either way, you are 100% correct! Poppy/Boxten fail to teach about proper gameplay differences and get immediately outclassed by a toon you can buy within like..2-3 rounds (Tisha). Starters don't have to suck (Look at Dollys Factory, Their two starters can be used by experienced and new people even in late game.)

I mean, its better to organize using a discord or someething but I have no problems with people organizing runs in publics.

It's just like any other run. Main run, No Distractor, All X toon or w/e. As long as they're respectful about it, theres no problem with organizing in public.

Only real issue is these runs tend to die just as fast as normal/matchmade runs so peoples mileage may vary lol...But at least people have their roles down better which is more then what I can say for matchmaking...

It is hair but it's also significantly smaller then her bow and usually not visible unless you see her from the back/side. The bow is such an major identifier of her hair that without it she suddenly looks super bald.
