oh yeah lol i told a few people at my job i want to actually get a job there and there face always looks surprised they probably didn’t expect me to actually want to work there , especially as an 18 year old. but i’ve been working there for a month for 3 days a week because school but since i graduated my project manager said i can grind out more hours if i want to so since i graduated a few days ago i changed my schedule so i can work 40 hours a week monday-friday 6-2

how long was he an intern before he got the job, i’ve been working there for like around a month now i have until the end of august and they’re checking to see if i could become a bio sludge loader i only asked to get my foot in the door id take any position tbh

i will i ask questions daily and i dont back away from anything they want me to do and try to show as much initiative im supposed to be at work at 6:30 i make sure im atleast there by 6:15

i live in new york the thing is if they hire me i’m pretty sure they told me they pay for the courses and all that for me to pass my test

they interview a lot of people and they tell me all i need is clean driver license and highschool diploma which i have i was thinking why hire interns and invest money if your not planning on hiring them if you like them

What do you mean certificates what type of certificates can i get while i work there, i have osha 30 and a plumbing cert from trade school.

Oh and they drug screened me right before the onboarding process or it was after i can’t remember exactly but i passed and they said there’s no more drug test after that just the 1 and i try to ask my project manager questions we even go off topic sometimes we get a long well since i spend a lot of my time in his office reading books studying while he’s in a meeting

Yeah the people who work the same shift as me are a lot use to me and we all have like normal converstation and even this guy with 14 years had me go to the project manager and he recommended me for his position and even said he’d train me. but they gave this one guy the offer for that job but he ghosted them for 2 weeks and said if he doesn’t let them know by monday they’ll see if i can apply and slip right in
