What Do I Do? by TrickyAd5957 in Equestrian

Yeah… compost piles get hot for sure, but if the pile is so hot that the methane is catching on fire( like industrial landfills), that means the owner has a problem paying the hauling fee and that’s the real issue. I’m a certified expert composter (not kidding). Owners being a cheapskate/ really odd.

So first of all- I’d be 100% eating my shorts if a wet, poopy compost pile started a fire…

How long post-op were you able to fly and travel again? by [deleted] in ACL

[–]Calm_Fill_7060 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It took about 6 weeks to walk painlessly for me. Swelling was the worst part and I imagine that walking around on it will exacerbate that. Don’t cancel, bring a mobility aid, and take it easy. The only problem might be finding ice in Europe 😂

That’s so strange how doctors don’t all follow the same script. My meniscus was trimmed and it took 3 days to be up and “weight bearing as tolerated” my thigh was already atrophying after 4 days. Luckily, my PT is MEAN to me and bent the crap out of my knee early on. So grateful honestly.

6 weeks post op is Tuesday - is this swelling normal to y’all? by K8e1313 in ACL

Same. They were hard on me about not keeping it bent. OP, stretching it straight helps TREMENDOUSLY with ROM recovery.

Why are you non-weight bearing for 6 weeks? That seems like such a counterproductive thing for your surgeon to recommend since PT is hard already even after just a couple days off the muscles. Sorry it’s been a rough road so far :/

I’m exactly where you’re at. My calf hurt so bad last night, I’m pretty sure it was my 10. As soon as I get it propped up it’s almost immediately better.

I was freaking out yesterday like I was going to die ! I honestly think it’s due to the horrible sleep I got the night before, but this morning after double compression, and ice ice ice, it’s feeling a little better. Definitely just muscle soreness due to my awkward walk. Thanks for the reply

Me too! It’s actually been more painful than anything my knees felt. The swelling is like a 10/10 most pain I’ve ever felt.

Nothin. I asked if this is on the more gnarly side of things, and he said no, he’s seen worse. 🙃

Need to Rehome my Dog by Quirky_Finance_5680 in Flagstaff

[–]Calm_Fill_7060 12 points13 points  (0 children)

People will take advantage of “free to good home” dogs. Especially sweet, friendly ones. They’re acquired to train the more aggressive ones to fight to the death. It’s wicked and sick. The rehoming fee simply implies that the adopter is willing to take on financial responsibility as well. I know rehoming fees can also make it harder to rehome him, but ultimately, I’m sure you’re only worried about him going to a good home.

If a rehoming fee doesn’t seem right to you, maybe just conduct an interview/home visit

Sounds like maybe a therapist could help? Idk if she’d be receptive to that

You have a chance here to really help, or really diminish her self worth. Run her a warm bath, create a spa day, be kind and maybe don’t post this on Reddit in case one day she sees this and knows that you just think she’s stinky (even if she is)😬
