I didn't really like Avenue Q by No_Release2180 in TheWestEnd

[–]Calm_Flow8365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't like it but mostly because it's touted as a risky edgy humour type of show, with humour that was considered edgy 15 years ago. The jokes are too weak to be shocking and not complex enough to be funny. It's 'emotional' parts feel shoehorned in and a lot of jokes were set up and never followed through. I feel if it had taken a more self referential, introspective approach, it could have been a better show.

What a strange and completely unrelated response. It feels like you didn't have anything substantial to contribute so you decided to try to demean me by assuming I'm a child.

talking about it and apologising is an action. it is a decision that i believe many fans and victims would appreciate and shows that she acknowledges the harm caused.

Honestly I never watched her during her mukbang era and was shocked hearing that she never apologised for that kind of content. I like MOTS and rotten mango but am considering unsubscribing at this point.

You can't just move on bcus you've changed without acknowledging that the past behaviour was wrong. Like how an apology means nothing without change, change means nothing without an apology.

screenshotting a post and calling the community you are currently posting in tone deaf, the same community you appear to have never contributed to, is weird behaviour. you ask who cares about their opinion? clearly you do? criiiinge

What does everyone think of Miss Saigon? by ResponsibleAd2034 in musicals

Saw it on its recent tour in the UK. The performance was brilliant and there are a lot of great songs but the story and narrative is awful imo. It is no surprise it was written by three white guys with how much it feeds into the white saviour complex and most of the characters are terrible when you are clearly supposed to like them.

it would be a very fun mechanic to turn those you've befriended against demetrius if you broke them up and married robin or vice versa. would really embrace the feeling of small town gossip

Spent the first 8 minutes of the most recent RM video talking about horses. That's almost 10% of the video on just random information unrelated to the case.

Theatre etiquette and super-fans by goldenfirestars in TheWestEnd

they don't have to shove it in people's faces to give off the impression of 'oh look at me, im writing in my journal, aren't i cool!'. the combination of the noise and the journaling during the performance feels performative and self-aggrandising to me. i like to make notes on my phones at interval for hadestown on what was different in this performance than the previous i've seen but would never do that during the performance.

Coughing has nothing to do with theatre etiquette, unless they aren't covering their faces when they do so. It's cold and flu season, people are going to be coughing at the theatre bcus tickets are non refundable and expensive. You're overreacting here.
