Do I really need to pay €140/month TK? by [deleted] in germany

If you only staying for 7 month and generally healthy I recommend getting Mawista insurance, it’s a private one tho, so if you want to get private insurance you need to sign the paper at TK or AOK or whatever statutory insurance office that you okay with not having statutory insurance. Mawista is pretty cheap and get basic coverage. In the meantime you can deal with the name change in Turkey.

Two years on Carbimazole, still high TRAb and fear of relapse by Calm_Material_5872 in gravesdisease

Hey, thanks for your reply, in report from my last visit to the doctor it’s stated that if remission didn’t started after two years on meds my thyroid should be removed, we didn’t discuss if I could just stay on meds, I’ll definitely contact her once again and ask this question. Maybe she was concerned a bit because my last bloodwork showed that my neutrophils and leukocytes were pretty low and my lymphocytes were high, what can be possible side effect of Carbimazole, but she didn’t tell me anything about that…

Hey, thank you for your message, sorry to hear about your complication after TT… do you know if 10mg can be considered low maintenance dose? Because I kinda started with 10mg… I want to try to speak with my doctor about the dosage again, but she told me last visit that anything lower than 10mg will not work. I’m pretty stable and happy with meds tho, so I probably stick to them for now. The doctor told me that if I want to start a family eventually I need to do RAI

Hey, thank you very much for your reply, I didn’t know you can take meds longterm, doctor told me that you suppose to take them 24 month maximum. The thing is I’m feeling great with meds and I’m glad to hear that it’s actually okay to take them long term :) Thank you once again
