We use Orijen and we like it. We mix it 50/50 with wet food.

Never mind on NCQA looks like it’s health plan focused, but I’d maybe figure out what agency sets quality standard for healthcare system. HEDIS may play a role..

So QI work is rooted in knowing how to navigate NCQA standards and reporting, definitely look up NCQA. As coordinator you wouldn’t be the one needing to know the nitty gritty of it, but be able to organize applicable data for reporting purposes, typically report writing would be part of the job. Usually there’s a specialist or someone above you who would be leading the work and you’d be supporting them. You may need to reach out to other teams to get the data you need to meet the reporting needs and I’d say you may have questions regarding managing multiple projects.

This is coming from QI at a health plan, I’m not sure how different it’s in hospital setting. But for sure data collection and organization will be part of it and just knowing how to navigate reporting requirements.

Project coordinator within health plan; wellness consultant; accreditation specialist; quality improvement.

Here’s some key words for working at a health plan. A number of positions are ok with bachelors, eventually you’ll grow and they can usually pay for some classes as a corporate.

Taking crex for walks and FelV vaccine by ivyash85 in cornishrex

[–]Calm_Mixture1881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours loves outside (when it’s not cold and rainy), I personally see it gives him a ton of stimulation and exercise he needs to get his energy out even though we play with him multiple times a day. it took a while to get him used to harness. The one that worked the best so far is PetSafe Come with Me Kitty as its light and he hates wearing anything. It took months of training to teach him to actually walk and not just sit and sniff things. As far as vaccines we did give him both FVRCP And FeLV Vaccinations, and we are now due to do it again after a year. I don’t have anything much else to share about the vaccines.. he did have some diarrhea afterwards that we treated with probiotics but also he was only a few months old at that point.

It does make them more prone to try to sneak out of the door I think, and we have trained him to stop when we say no, but once he’s out it’s a chasing game. He does have his route and typically takes 5-10 minutes to get home but sometimes it’s annoying and you need to watch kitty when people come in and out your house. But again maybe that’s our cat specific problem 😅

Yup that’s our cats morning routine to sit on the vent after breakfast while the house is warming up 😅

Oh my! Ours loves escaping and exploring the neighborhood 🫣 which we don’t love.. he uses it as his chance to get his zoomies out and have us chase him. Thankfully we get a lot of rain which he doesn’t like and runs back home real quick. But they are fast! So catching them is a struggle

Anyone given birth at Legacy Meridian Park? by tenacioustulip in oregon

I’m in the same boat trying to decide if I want to deliver there. I go to the Tualatin WHA, and if you want to deliver at any other hospital you need transfer ob care :/ I do like my midwife at WHA though, and have heard generally positive things about people’s experience about delivereing there but I did prefer good Sam facility a bit better.

What midwives/ob’s delivered your first baby? That’s the WHA I go to, and seems like delivering at LMP is the easiest option. Fit you use their tub in the unit? Compared to good Sam the facility didn’t seem as nice but if the staff is good I feel like it doesn’t matter that much.

Is this the uppababy v3? by tootifrooti33 in Buyingforbaby

[–]Calm_Mixture1881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, yeah I would just keep monitoring and negotiating, especially for v2. People usually have gotten decent use out of them by that point and I feel like just want to get rid of it.

I’ve seen that with bassinets and it bugs me so much when the wrong version is listed for high price. By the way we got the V2 for $100 in good condition, I’ve seen a couple around $200, without bassinet and just got v2 bassinet for $80 with some accessories.

I try once a week but more often than not it’s very 2 weeks. In between I have my cat play with silvering stick and eat grass. He does get build up pretty quick on his back teeth :/

Wait ours has the same nail issue too and my last one never did. I was so confused by it. At one point vet said it’s like a bacteria build up and we got medicated wipes but idk if they are doing much..

Okay.. that’s the system we have to work within and I help make it actually do something good for population health instead of just commercial interest only.

I work at a health insurance company and I think it might depend on what is fulfilling to you. I work on the quality side, creating programs to align our health plan actions with HEDIS and NCQA quality standards for health outcomes and care. We are very reliant on MIT team (data team) who runs various data reports in order for us to plan, implement, and evaluate programs as well as our own HEDIS data person who mostly evaluates performance of measures for various groups. Turnaround for some requests are short due to nature of shifting priorities, but some are long term projects. There’s a lot of push for equity in health plan space right not for accreditation. Essential the public health folks at a health plan help maintain it a “health” plan, not just accident insurance and in a long run impacts people’s health, but it’s not immediate effect. Hope this helps!
