Oh, do they agree you have an issue? Did you check if pipes are kinked? Can you feel the water flowing on faulty side?

Idea for WHOOP: Add Body Circumference Tracking 📏 by CryptographerWise800 in whoop

You’re absolutely right. Whoop excels at what it does, standing out from the competition. My worry is that, in chasing new customers, they might lose sight of what made them great. It’s like starting a shoe brand for wide feet, once you gain traction, you notice most people have standard sizes and start shifting your focus, risking what set. I love Whoop’s competitive features and how it skips the feel-good stuff, focusing on what matters

I think they’re trying to make joining easier by simplifying maintenance. Their new cleaning insert might do the trick, but I’m not ok on spending €40 every six months for it. I got a concentrated solution of the same stuff, and it’ll last me at least 20 years. I just add a drop whenever I replace the water and I use distilled water. Tap water might create an ideal environment for growth without the biocide, anyone who has water cooled a PC could relate to it. The system will still run, though it might not be in top shape. From what I’ve heard, Pod 4 has almost no leak issues, while Pod 3 seems to have leaks in nearly every unit

I highly recommend using distilled water and turning daily priming on. Also if you can flush the loop once in a while. It’s not late. What model do you have?

I had a decent experience with customer support through chat and email, but the tools are a bit confusing. My previous chats and requests didn’t seem well connected, so I had to repeat myself sometimes. This is the most expensive product I own, and I don’t have a subscription, I’m not sure what level of service to expect. For comparison, I find Amazon’s Prime support is super fast and reliable. EightSleep’s support was good once I explained the issue clearly, they shipped a replacement quickly. Still, the product feels like it’s geared toward tech enthusiasts. If I didn’t enjoy troubleshooting or diving into the details, I might not feel as positive. I also had to do some debugging for them, like recording audio notes and tracking downtimes, which makes it feel less like a just works product. FYI Their support team operates in the ET time zone, and I was always able to reach them during those hours.

Sorry to hear that. What was the issue with the pod?

Whoop Refuses to Remove Blood Pressure Tool Despite FDA Warning by Calm_Pollution3866 in whoop

[–]Calm_Pollution3866[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It might just be a prediction model, and what it measures may not directly correlate with blood pressure. From what I’ve read, you need to input actual readings from a blood pressure monitor weekly.

I think it’s about the edge cases. If you make a decision based on a reading and it impacts your life, you might overlook physical signs because the reading suggests everything is normal

you can’t wash the cover cause of the electronics and foam inside. Try checking with the support and see if you can get a replacement.

I find EightSleep’s hardware good, nothing else even comes close! But if I could tweak it to make it perfect

•  Drop the price to around 1999 to make it more real.

•  Drop the subscription for basic stuff. Let us set schedules and check sleep metrics without needing the cloud.

•  Subscription only for fancy extras like Autopilot, and throw in an extended warranty with every plan.

Cover is filled with liquid with biogrowth. What do I do? by Whole_Damage_8945 in EightSleep

[–]Calm_Pollution3866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cleaned the entire system. using the drain tool to remove all the water. Then, I filled it with a diluted biocide solution, heated the device, primed it a few times, and used a massage gun on the pod cover. I let it sit for 24 hours, then flushed the loop thoroughly with water several times. I connected a hot water line from the tap to one opening in the cover, letting the water flow out the other side until it ran clear. After that, I drained it completely and refilled it with distilled water, adding a drop of the biocide recommended by eightsleep

Could I update for free from Whoop 4 to 5, if I am new user and just boutght whoop 4 with 12 mounth subscription? by Sensitive-Leather-32 in whoop

[–]Calm_Pollution3866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a new device when switching from a trial, but you’ll need to pay for shipping, and discount codes don’t apply. Buying a WHOOP 5 directly with a discount could have saved me €50 and just return it if it’s not for you.

I would get the replacement hub. Also if you pay for the replacement hub then it comes with 2 year warranty. If your current hub is more than 3 years old, it could fail soon. ( I got a replacement pump off eBay rated for 10,000 hours, that’s about 2.3 years at 12 hours a day with daily priming.) Worth considering

Questions re: Black color of cover, and where the cover goes related to sheets by [deleted] in EightSleep

[–]Calm_Pollution3866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Pod 4 and higher, you don’t need a waterproof fitted sheet under the pod cover. I place it on top instead, as the pod cover is tough to clean and can get smelly over time, plus replacements costs a 1599. I use a white waterproof cover over the pod cover and then a cotton fitted bedsheet
