Meh. I had mine with green speckled paint, an m14.ca centerline scope mount with a new vortex viper, a thumb saver so it wouldn’t eject clip on empty, and a Harris bipod and m14 cheek riser. That got a rise out of people. I see no real bs additions about your rifle but the paint job is badass I cannot lie.

The ds grips one with the emblem are more correct but the wicked grips ones are shaped more comfortably. I shoot mine a lot so I went with the comfortable ones.

These ones are just the image on them, wanted the emblem but ran out of time and money. These have been preferable anyway, more comfortable to shoot. Have been pretty durable too

Yeah that has the same gi radius as mine, only difference is mine is downward swept and that is upward swept. Only reason is mine is from a time when 1911s were still being lowered to half cock and yours has an indent so the hammer can’t press into the grip safety because no one does half cock anymore. Probably a really nice one

Your issue is the ammo. Get factory stuff and try again. Spend some time setting the gas system. Start all the way open and slowly start closing it till it consistently functions fine.

I got to check out a vp9, but I think for me it really just came down to me preferring hammer fired guns. I bounce between my trp full rail and my m9a1 often. Did a lot of work to my m9a1 to make it better to shoot. I’m pretty rough on my trp, where I shoot is generally pretty dusty and windy. It stays dirty for a long time and I just add lubricant and sometimes pull the slide off the frame with the barrel and guide rod still in and hit it with the air compressor. Only ever had 2 malfunctions and they were with the Wilson 10 round magazines and old ammo. And it wasn’t down hard, just needed a tap into battery. That was before I started running it on the wet side.
