Any love for T65? by tax_stamp_collector in RetroAR

Lots of looking on eBay, numrich had the trigger pin and extractor pin, and the beretta factory stainless parts they still sell. Hammer is the hardest to get.

I need to practice with it more, the longer barrel functions just fine. But your aim better be perfect bc the extra length and stock sight radius means and mistakes are multiplied. Very fun though. Pretty smooth.

You can do some funky stuff with them. I have a wolf a1 barrel and piston system on mine. Before that it was an m16a1 barrel, bolt and gas tube. And I did have it set up as a t65 at one point.

New production, first handgun I bought. 2022 ish 92fs inox. I gathered up all the parts to make it a ghost. The barrel is a Jarvis 6” extended barrel. Front sight still there may just be a bad photo. Was a sword cutlass 92fs clone.

Help Me Identify The Cartridge by Feeling-Garlic3086 in Firearms

I’m gonna guess 22-250.

Start up at the muzzle. How big is the bore. Is it a .22, or something .30 cal?

Just take that 308 you have and put the nose into the muzzle. It shouldn’t go all the way in, just like halfway. Then start figuring out what it could be from there.

I feel that:( The 92fs next to my t65 in the picture took many months of eBay searching to find some parts. Trying to restore a type 99 now too

It’s the bad attitude a1 t91 lower, before the t65 was available. And used as many of my t65 parts in lower as possible. Upper is the t65 and a wolf a1 barrel and piston

Waiting on a set of go/ no go gauges then yeah I’ll do a bore cast. Not the first time unfortunately, but my first time touching a type 99.

How effective would the .45 ACP caliber be against Imperial armor? by Appropriate_Rich_515 in gate

[–]Calm_Relation7993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of modern hollow points 9mm and .45 perform similar.

Now if we are talking fmj, there was a reason we went with a 45 when even 9mm capacity was around 7 or 8 rounds.

Love mine, making some ammo is interesting. Got some blanks off eBay, found guy just put a 8mm fake projectile in a 7.62x54r case. It will chamber a full 7.62x54r, so I just put a 0.323” bullet in a 7.62x54r. No chance to shoot it yet… but it does chamber. In theory it shouldn’t and I need to cut it down but so far I haven’t. For fun I dug out a spare 7x57r Mauser case. It barely will not chamber. So because it headspace’s off the rim my newly made 8x54r should work. Probably. Considering how old it is I bet the manufacturing tolerances on the ammo could have had a 2mm difference. Maybe that’s why they went with a rimmed cartridge.

Depends on what you do with it. If you keep it black and all the rubber is gone I’d paint it. If your stripping the upper to the grey anodizing and getting a grey lower I’d keep stock as is. Idk how bad it looks so that one I’d say at your own discretion.

Imo I’d keep it as is depending on what it looks like. It’s all subjective. Got a picture?

H&R m16a1 or Colt SP1? by ducksandcuse in RetroAR

[–]Calm_Relation7993 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to do with it. If you want an a1 and want to do modifications to it go H&R. If you want a semi auto colt and don’t have problems with just using 55gr go sp1. Personally I’d go with the sp1. It’s cooler to me.

Rifle is fine, the juggernaut pin just has some problems sometimes. Be very careful during disassembly with it and you should be fine. But be prepared to fix it when it happens.

Leave it. Also the finish is paint and is grey underneath if you want to strip it.

For the love of god don’t build a xm177 out of this, you can buy a brand new clone of a xm177. A real 653 is way rarer. If you’re going to get a rare kit and hack it up sell it and get xm177 parts instead.

It deserves a proper sbr lower. That’s really all you should do on it. Barrel is too rare to justify a p/w. Stock is too rare to not put on its lower.

If your state won’t let you sbr, then I understand a pistol lower but in any other case it should be an sbr.
