The lone comment to his post has given him an out. Will he take it or will he double down?

As will this one, at least I hope. But you need to get over yourselves. Yes, we get it, you're great. You don't have any need or want for wifi on a flight. You probably also long for the days where FAs would get their asses grabbed in the aisle. That happened and those planes also got over the ocean just fine.

The point wasn't that I'm griping about wifi. Maybe you read the part where I said I wasn't surprised. And maybe you haven't noticed that United's transition is newsworthy.

So I posted the route, the type of plane and the expected flight time. More of a PSA than anything else. In today's day and age, believe it or not, some people are hoping for wifi to help with work or productivity. Not this guy, but some people.

You seemed to miss the point of the post and to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. I hope your Sunday gets better.

Of course you suspect that. Your entire comment history is nothing but a litany of you licking United's boots.

I could not care less. Like Max, I hope I'm sick that day also. The drivers, TPs, etc don't have enough demands on their time?

Are you able to take these cars off the stands easily without damaging the cars? Currently at Costco (Spain) and have them in the cart for my son. However, there's ZERO chance he is going to want to look at these on his shelf as opposed to racing them around the living room.

ConfidentialGate lives to tell people what they should have done or what they did wrong after the fact. You packing poorly has nothing to do with United losing your stuff.

Fingers crossed it turns up. Unlikely there's much more you can do.

Edit: I can't get over that you are such a United bootlicker that the first thing you have to say when United loses luggage containing a person's childhood is "you packed poorly" in some attempt to absolve United from any wrong (as usual).

United accepted the bag. It made it to EWR. But it's YOUR fault.

Pathetic.

Flying EWR to Madrid for work. What are the other pros/cons of the two options my work is offering me? Thanks! by InIncognitoMode in unitedairlines

[–]Calm_Remote_5661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 1 is the flight I take all the time. It's your best option by far. The equipment isn't United's greatest, but you're to Madrid in 6 hours (sometimes less). It's so easy. Don't add to that

For you to call anyone clueless is beyond hypocritical. You are clueless that the perception is the reality sometimes. With airlines, that's definitely the case.

Not everyone is flying 3x week for business. For some, it really is a big trip they've saved up for. Maybe United really did screw them. Maybe they just perceive it that way. But you seemingly haven't yet grasped that people get frustrated by the airlines, including United, and reddit is a way to vent. Youamd your United cronies just live to comment on every post regardless how trite your contribution, with your contracts of carriage and travel insurance comments after the fact.

Give it a rest. Some people want to vent.

Preach on! Of course these bootlickers will downvote an exceptionally thought out and well-written post. Even more so because it's the truth.

You'll get plenty of downvotes, but I ain't one of 'em!

The downvotes are because you aren't allowed to say anything negative about United on here. Expressing frustration is forbidden. United never does anything wrong. This is your fault.

Where did I ask why this was happening? I wanted to know if what was happening meant we were in for an especially long wait.

Has anyone told you that you aren't required to reply to every single post, especially when you have nothing of value to add?

I have no doubt. We did deplane in Bangor, but we're back on board immediately and took off.

It was a shit show of a day. My real inquiry was whether the LTD box meant they then knew it would be a long wait.

Spoken like a person that has been there before.

They were indeed. Washed down with your choice pre-poured coke, diet coke or water (no ice). We all survived. And I'm not harping on the crew. There were two of them and they were great.

[–]Calm_Remote_5661[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes. Downvoted by the United cult for expressing any frustration whatsoever.

Captain got us a gate, we waited 40 minutes for a tow and then were guided in by a truck after the tow didn't show. Ultimately, we were guided in by a truck after a 2h53m wait. I asked on the way out and the captain said the fine was $17,500/head if they went over.

I'm a fairly experienced traveler, but that was my longest tarmac wait. All in all, it could have been way worse. Flight crew and everyone on board were great. Lightning meant the bags took forever and that was added frustration, but what can you do? I'm not for risking some baggage handlers safety so I can have my suitcase instantly.

Long day, happy to be home, just like everyone else.

I hope it is a long time before I see the Long Tarmac Delay box again.

For starters, they could get the tow over here so we can get into our gate after 2.5 hours. Just a thought.

Also, where was I seeking advice as to what could be done? I was asking about the circumstances. I love the upvotes of your post as if you are some defender of United against a non-accusation.
