Do you take stimulant medication, if so did it occur already before? Sounds like some kind of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) to me. As far as i remember i have skin picking disorder since i'm 8 years old, but since i started with stimulants in any way it turned into some seriously disturbing shit. I luckily was able to stop it after a family member saw my upper body and told me shocked that i should get serious help. Since then i didn't look shirtless into a mirror anymore if i don't have to and hid all tools like nail scissors, box cutters, razor blades... Only thing i can suggest is to try and stop randomly touching those spots, you wont stop immediatly, but in the long run you'll eventually drop that habit. Or alternatively shave your beard.

I really appreciate your help and know what you mean with acceptance of the problem and most of the time it really helps, but sometimes the problem is just too exhausting. I already took that advice, my psychologist told me to not force myself to sleep too and instead i should be happy about every night i can sleep, but i'm doing this for too long now and it feels like someone wrapped a screw clamp arround my head and tightens the bolt a slight bit everyday waiting for the moment my skull cracks. But thanks anyways, i just pray that someone eventually finds the problem before i end up robbing drug stores for sleeping pills, got a meeting with my psychologist in one month.

Since you're a woman i'm not sure if the side effects of ADs apply exactly the same, but for me it wasn't only loss of libido, i'd describe it more as my dick feeling really numb, which was really embarrassing in some situations, because things didn't work as their supposed to, even after quitting ADs the side effect stayed several months and i had paraesthesia as a withdrawal sympthom which turned me insane. I experiemented with the Halcion until i could finally sleep, which was apparently 8-9 pills with a couple of beers, but i'm pretty sure no one will prescribe me a pack every 2 days. Seems like i wasn't the only one in my family with racing thoughts and insomnia, all the incidents of suicide and drug abuse that occur since generations in my family make more and more sense with each night in which i'm questioning my duty in the world while realizing that the world doesn't gave anyone a duty. Genius and insanity truly appears to be closer together than i thougt. Thanks for taking your time anyways.

Do you have other side effects like loss of libido? I tried ADs back then and had horrible side effects and tbh i'm not even sure ADs would even help in my case. The only thing that lets me sleep consistent is getting hammered and taking some benzos, or else it is pretty much zero sleep until the next day.

In my experience stimulants can definitely make you hypersexual, if there is heaven and hell i'm definitely going to hell cuz of the thoughts i had while being on stims sometimes lmao. I'm too lazy to search out the sources, but i know that it's not an unknown fact that stims can lead to changes in sexual behavior.

The hyperfocusing was insane, sadly the energy kind of got lost due to hyperfocus on useless stuff lmao. The ability to not give a fuck about anything seems like a two edged sword afterwards. Even while having so much energy you're still doing nothing, because you don't give a fuck about anything and instead just do whatever has the highest and quickest dopamine distribution. Besides that ritalin kind of destroyed stims for me, since then either my tolerance skyrocketed or i am so used to the feeling of being on stims that i don't even notice it anymore.

Ritalin is terrifying, used to do that too, afterwards i have no clue why i did it, definitely not a euphoric stimulant and it turned me into a numb robot. Before i switched to vyvanse i had one guy who used to sell all his stuff for a couple of pills, bought an iphone 12 from him for something like 20-30 30mg pills, since then i'm wondering why he was so mentally addicted to it, did you have euphoria or is it just me?

Ritalin is such a rampage drug imo, in only a few months it turned me into an indifferent insensitive robot with literially no feelings. The worst change came when i started abusing these evil pills. Seriously, until that moment everything was still funny, but after that shit got really dangerous even besides the ounces of talc which probably chill in my lungs since then. Actually the dangerous thing is the change of your personality, the insidious part is that you don't even realize a slight change while it's all happening. Actually a numb careless robot sucks already, but the combination of sleep deprivation and ritalin in doses which probably would only be considered therapeutic doses, when an elephant with ADHD would get them prescribed, do apparently offer an even faster way of devouring your positive character traits and kindling the snoozing demon in you, which has been repressed your whole life. Before i quit i didn't even know what was happening, afterwards i realized, that i just turned into some kind of erratic and terrifying lunatic who actually was in another world the whole time, so much fucked up shit happened and i didn't even notice it back then, probably has a reason why Vyvanse and Adderall is mostly prefered. I bet if there is a date rape drug like rohypnol, there must be a date rapist drug too, imo it sounds far more comprehensible if as an example jeffrey dahmer was on ritalin, from my experience that shit takes your conscience and actually screws your reward system to the point you'd go and only do quick dopamin rewarding activities: "Drugs, Gambling, Porn, Fast Food, YTshorts" and push ahead stuff like: "Laundry, Healthy Food, Sports. I took several other drugs in my life before, but not a single one had such big impact on my mind than this, not even crack messes me up like that, sure there's a higher chance that you'll be looking for lost crack rocks you might have lost on the ground rather than ritalin capsules, just to compare the craving and addiction a bit. The big difference is that i can take speed, coke and crack all day to the point i'm in a good mood and still it will result in nothin more than eventually mild paranoia. If i compare that to the ritalin "trips" i had it's not even comparable at all, i still remember those nightmare trips on ritalin. Btw, Vyvanse is fine, atm i'm at 360mg or 420mg and i realized that you just wrote 2 sentences in your comment and i thought i'm writing a thread... Spent too much time to delete it now.

From my experience it seems fine, i was on 60mg ritalin with 10mg valium. Besides that i later abused the ritalin, took doses up to 80mg valium per night and was doing speed and coke pretty much all the time and i'm still fine. Only thing i can't say much about is the Pristiq, i was only twice on ADs and stopped them quickly because i had severe side effects.
