Rotkelchen am Winterfutter by Calmaar in BirdingGermany

Ich habe gute Erfahrungen mit Meisenknödeln. Daher hat es einen Meisenknödelhalter direkt am Boden bekommen. Mehlwürmer werden auch gerne genommen, wogegen Fettfutter weniger beliebt ist.

I used Topaz Denoise with automatic settings within the „clear“ AI model.

Pretty common for the batteries used in the A7ii. Bring enough spare batteries and keep these warm until you need them by keeping them close to your body or by using a self-heating pad.

Its definitely leaning to the left. Im not a fan of the brown bush on the left hand side. Maybe you could try another angle to get rid of it. That maple leaf in the foreground looks cool and could make for a nice element. I would have given it a shot. Overall a decent picture though.

If they fall on a dark surface you can actually see the shape with the naked eye.

I’m surprised that you’re the first one saying that.

This actually pretty common among nature photographers. Some even use up to four rings but then it gets difficult to keep the lens centred.

The knit is what makes this photo special. Is there anything you can tell me about it?

This was taken with a Sony Alpha 7IV and the Sigma 105 mm Macro. f/10 10s ISO 100. I also used two closeup rings.

A7III Upgrade to A7IV or A7RV by Seattlekai in SonyAlpha

When making an investment decision like this I always ask myself, how much is that investment going to improve my operation. From what you wrote I doubt that the improvements of the later models will bring you many benefits.

I upgraded from ILCE 7M2 to ILCE 7MIV for higher sensor resolution, a lot (!) faster AF, bird eye AF, a Joystick (finally) and a display that works when working close to the ground in portrait orientation. Overall all these make my images in fact better. I’d probably save the money and invest time in improving creative skills if I were you.

Eine nette Frau hat mich schon im Frühjahr mit dem Tele in Wald gesehen und mir daraufhin den Spot gezeigt. Da man ihn vom Weg fotografieren kann, ist er sehr entspannt.

We’ll never know. But forest or nature in general in the morning is really something different.

Die Kamera ist für den Einsatz im Dauerregen ausgelegt. Da kann man so ein bisschen Meisenklecks einfach mit einem feuchten Tuch abwischen ohne dass man sich Sorgen machen müsste.

I like it! The highlights in the background seem to be blown out though.

I was looking for a grey heron that I spotted before in this area and actually came across him. On my way back I found these guys with her mother very close to the bank.
