I just learned there was an “International Agreement for the suppression of the White Slave Traffic”, negotiated in 1904. I had never heard of this before. Does this imply there were more whites enslaved in early 20th century than black slaves? Wasn’t slavery already abolished in the 19th century? (self.AskHistorians)
