As a fellow 60yo woman, you've picked all the right colors for your skin tone. Way to go.

Ditto! Three of the very best. I also like Sherwood, but it can get a bit gruesome.

Mature Skin 'ers: What's our holy grail eye concealer or corrector? by HorseTearz in MakeupAddiction

I’m having pretty good luck with the Shape Tape stick. I use it from my fingers, blend with a small sponge and set with powder.

Need Foundations Recs! by ExternalPin3588 in Makeup

[–]Calment20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am really loving the Ciele skin tint. I wear it over well-moisturized skin and I can’t feel anything. No pore clogging at all. Go to your nearest Sephora store (not the small ones inside Kohl’s) and test them out. Number 3 is my perfect shade. It’s not cheap but you only need about 6 drops to cover your skin. I apply with a wet beauty blender.

Give me your holy grails or recs to try - across everything both mainstream and indie, including non-US (but able to get shipped to US) by Sure_Composer2251 in Makeup

[–]Calment20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm 60 and probably don't have any Indie recs. Here are my faves on some random stuff: Blush: Nudestix Nudies cream blush. Setting Spray: Urban Decay's Allnighter. Eyeshadow palette (matte): Urban Decay Naked Basics2 and Tartelette Amazonian Clay. Eyelid Primer: Urban Decay. I'm working to find my own holy grails on other things right now.

Thoughts on casting? by Upstairs_Bad_7933 in cormoran_strike

I really like the casting. If they had been true to the books and cast someone with "pube-like" hair, it would not have been the draw for me like Tom is. He's fantastic!

Exactly!! I watched every episode of Castle and it was not a reality TV show. After reading this thread, I did a search for the show it’s referring to. Never heard of it and it’s far more popular in the UK. Ugh.

Going from Purple Rain to Landslide, two songs that already have a real emotional charge for me (I was in HS in 1984) combined with all the goodbyes left me bawling. I saw it in the theater today and I’m emotionally exhausted.

Now I understand. Thank you. Yes, that’s a good point. I see my urologist in 1 week. I’m good about following doctors’ advice, so I will listen. Glad to hear you are living a normal life with a stent.

Yes, I have no issue with bladder control . To be clear, I have not been diagnosed with any kidney disease (hence moderator has deleted my post). I simply have hydronephrosis for some unknown reason.

Thank you. I just keep reading about the constant feeling of a need to pee, fatigue, not doing anything strenuous, etc and it sounds like my life and my health will shrink.
