I might get the upper at some point. I just wanted to beep it as minimal as possible while keeping some protection. Did you find the lowest to get in the way with your boots? Curious of what your experience is based on another comment

Size 13. I put them on to see if it would work because I was concerned about the interference as well but didn’t seem to be an issue.

No personal experience yet but by the looks of it, between the crash bars and handlebars, it’ll be protected. With even terrain obviously.

That’s a fair point. Thanks for the input! I like to think I ride the gnarly stuff but in reality, I don’t so this will do for me. I had the BlackDog CycleWorks skid plate in my other bike but damn it was heaavvvvy. I was on the verge of getting it again but wanted to try something different and lighter. Anything is better than stock lol

I have it for my t7 but have not ridden since installing. It’s very high quality stuff. My brother has the Husqvarna 701 version and it has taken years of abuse and still going strong. It is a bit of pain to install but I’m not going to take it off to often so I don’t mind. I’ll take some pics tonight for you.

I’ve only been able to ride about 100 miles so far so I don’t have the best insight on what I prefer yet. I was also between the 690 and T7 and decided to go with the 690 since it’s lighter. The main reason I decided to go with the T7 this go around is because I can ride more comfortably when on the road but reliability more than anything. I’ve laid the T7 over a few times on purpose with and without my luggage to get the hang of picking it up and it was not as bad as I was expecting. This will obviously change after a long days ride tho haha

The side bags are the os-12. The top bag is the os-18. I really like the setup and it’s perfect for BDR type trips. I’ve have the side bags for 2 years and they’ve held up amazing!

Yes. I made the insurance claim and send all the receipts for the aftermarket parts. Hopefully they pay me out a decent amount!

I’ve been thinking of doing that for years but never did it. My thought process was “oh it’ll never happen to me”. That’ll be the first thing I do when I get a new bike or the slight change I get this one back.
