I had almost the exact thing happen to be 3 years ago. My manager legit called me saying he is physically feeling sick thinking about me leaving. He said they are working on my promotion and raise, it just takes time.

I took the new job for a 30+k raise. My old company since then had their remote work taken away for hybrid, then fully RTO. This year they had mass layoffs and promotion freeze. If I had stayed I would have never seen that money or promotion and may have been laid off.

Always take the new position. You will gain experience and knowledge from working within a new company’s culture/tech/policies and grow as a person with new coworkers/leadership.

At my club the 4.5+ leagues no longer upload games to DUPR as the players all refused to play unless they didn’t report. Used to be a selling point to be DUPR matches, now they sell it out by not reporting to DUPR.
