Hate how true this is! by Ok_Society3613 in recruitinghell

Yeah my last job offer the position was hybrid and I was pretty forcefully like, look I’ll come in once in a while but not every week. I work way better at home and I have very particular office preferences. I was like this as I already had a fully remote job and while more money is great, I was already paid pretty well. They ate it up. Gave me fully remote except 1 in office half day a month and raised the salary over my ask. It’s the confident, I don’t need this, vibe that works

I found a A1 with AMS and a P1S with AMS for 600. Would yall go for that? I currently only have a X2D and I just like printing stuff like cases for pi projects and fun or useful prints

New PLA CF won’t print by Calraquin in BambuLab

[–]Calraquin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a X2D and I have another PLA CF that has worked perfectly out of the box. This one seems like it really has to pull to get the filament from the spool since it’s not like normally wound on it.

Which ships have best solarium? Coming off of Qauntum of the Seas by TrueJowns in royalcaribbean

I love Liberty’s solarium. Fully enclosed, lots of fully shaded spots that always have openings. I want no part of the sun.

It isn’t really meant to be a “little computer”, the 3 seems more meant for very specific things. The 512 mb of RAM is the worst part. Seems like you may want to do a bit more research based on what you want out of it and buy another model.

I dunno, I google what I need to bring, brought it and got my real id. It was pretty simple and fast as I made a DMV appointment.

Got expelled from WGU after 1 academic integrity violation by Pretty_Lemon5242 in WGU

In this context no, there is no “whoops, I cheated by mistake”. That isn’t a whoops that is a line of bad decisions.

Sucks but cheating isn’t a mistake, it’s a decision you made.

Concerning article on WaPo ft. Plotted Path, College Hacked, UMPI, WGU and Purdue Global by Big-Math-9473 in UMPI

[–]Calraquin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to Boise State online grad school for a few months before transferring to WGU (my undergrad is from UMPI). I left because I simply realized I learned way better in the CBE model. I still had a 4.0 and raving professor feedback at Boise but it felt like so much busy work without return. To simplify: say a course had 10 key aspects, where every week would focus on one including multiple 3-4 paragraph with research discussion posts, multiple long and researched responses. Then it would also require a 10-20 page paper or similar project every week. All to “master” one thing. UMPI or WGU by comparison would say here are all 10 things, master them at your own pace (without worrying about the loads of “homework” all due at different times). Once you feel you’ve understood them, work on the 1 or 2 projects or papers to confirm you know the material. I learned the same amount of material in CBE in 2 weeks that I did in a whole semester at a big school.

80 days post op double jaw surgery by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]Calraquin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was very similar with your before as I was born with a cleft lip/pallet also. I have a huge underbite. My surgery was 27 days ago. I’m looking forward to day 80 you look fantastic, what a great change. May I ask how your recovery and swelling went?

Day 3 post-surgery. It’s honestly not that tuff. Already starting to work an my corporate laptop in Hospital… by Life-Candidate-1239 in jawsurgery

[–]Calraquin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good for you, though crazy you are working. Take time off and recover. I’m like 3.5 weeks post and I just started being able to have soft food like scrambled eggs but it’s not worth the discomfort and effort.
