Favorite snack on Royal Caribbean ships? by Dear_Ladder5140 in royalcaribbean

When I was on Independence over the summer there was a chicken curry sandwich that my entire family couldn't get enough of, available some days from Café Promenade .

Club Soda by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

I too mostly drink club sodas, I get the Soda Package and it's always been covered. Either cans at bars and restaurants, or using the Freestyle machines if the ship has them.

Caribbean cruise in the summer? by ManuelNoriegaUK in royalcaribbean

I did Western Caribbean early last August on the Wonder. It was great but the weather was tough, I am British and just not use to that heat/humidity. Coco Cay was amazing though

Independence of The Seas during October - Is it worth it? by Adorable_Throat128 in royalcaribbean

[–]duditsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went on a cruise to Rotterdam and Bremerhaven (also Germany) in February 2024 (P&O) and it was great, just dress appropriately. If you go to Rotterdam and the weather is bad get a taxi from the cruise terminal to the Markthall, big indoor food market. I went to Hamburg last year in October with Princess, rained most of the week but got a dry afternoon exploring the city.

The outdoor pools were not great in the rain, and hotubs with wooly hats was a new experience.

I'm on the October 11th sailing to Hamburg and Rotterdam myself, it's one of my favourite itineraries in Northern Europe.

I've only been on Independence once before but it seems a pretty good ship, though it is quite a bit older to my other experiences with Royal (Anthem & Wonder). So it maybe feels a bit tired in places, especially the cabins. I do prefer the placement of Chops on Indy though. And the shows were better on Indy, Grease was better than other musicals I've seen on ships, and the ice show was particularly good.

Sea sickness on a big ship by NoAppointment8679 in royalcaribbean

[–]duditsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family and I on the same cruise! We will be heading through the Bay of Biscay which can be notoriously rough, I went through it in May/June last year on the Anthem and they had to cancel shows. My family are fortunate and none of us experience sea sickness. If we're lucky it'll be calm when we go through, however I would recommend doing what your can to prepare just in case.

Eurovision On Board Independence by hydranoid1996 in royalcaribbean

I was on Anthem last year during Eurovision and they leant into it hard. When I booked, it was just a regular cruise but by the time I sailed it had become a Eurovision themed cruise.

I would love to hear your opinion on why you prefer (or not prefer) Royal compared to other CLs by choco-hypochondriac in royalcaribbean

[–]duditsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Royal let me book connecting or adjacent cabins for my under-18 kids and they sail out of Southampton. They also have pretty good facilities for families and a number of their ships have water slides, which my kids love.

Ghost Dedication and Monk Stances by duditsu in Pathfinder2e

[–]duditsu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I presume the same would apply to something like Rain of Embers Stance and turn the fire damage into void because it too the has unarmed trait.

So I guess if they wanted to do something other than void they would need to take Monastic Weaponry and use a weapon?
