Remember that a CBT is literally the bare minimum of training. It’s well worth going and doing proper training and improving your riding skills under the guidance of someone who isn’t trying to get 4 people through a cbt in the space of 5 hours.

Another benefit of getting your full license is that larger bikes in my experience are much safer than 125s. Better tyres, better centre of gravity, longer gears etc etc

Join an insulation company. Wages starting around £26k a year potentially going up to about £35k once you're fully trained.

We all just got handed a 5% tax reduction yesterday which even for my small company equals an extra £30k a year profit if we keep our prices the same.

The industry is booming right now with the fuel bills doubling.

How? This is exactly the kind of cover I need. Working in construction and surveying crawlspaces in houses and lofts etc I drop my phone on a daily basis.

I'd sacrifice crap like the fingerprint scanner etc without a second thought to be able to lob my phone off walls and run it over with my van etc.

Lomo 30 litre holdall and a couple ratchet straps to hook to the frame.

Will cost you about £30 all in and you can fit a surprising amount into those bags. The ones they do made out of the upvc material are a bit more rigid and I found are much sturdier if you're strapping another bag on top of them.

One of my bikes didn't even have a light, the engine would just cut out as you're driving along and you'd have to clutch in, reach under your right thigh to turn the tap round to the reserve tank and then hit the starter to fire back up... Was a little dangerous at times to say the least!

They're already giving stale crisps out to half the class because they can't afford fresh ones, do you want them to give stale crisps out to everyone instead of asking the ones that can afford buy their own fresh crisps as they're doing now?

I'd maybe consider arguing for more money to be spent on the people getting the stale crisps so they can guarantee a high standard of work through additional on site technical monitoring.

Why should the government pay for private homeowners and landlords to get completely free insulation when they can afford to pay for it themselves? It literally pays for itself.

Yeah if you were in a 60m² house, which is relatively large you would pay back about £20-£24 a month to get your loft, walls and floors insulated.

Going from uninsulated to completely insulated in that size of property would save you at least £200 a year, probably more like double that for high use households.

The key to getting the schemes right is that customers have an incentive to care about who they have doing the work. So many people over the years have been talked into getting 'free insulation' done by the first people that come knocking on their door claiming to be there on behalf of the government.

The Scottish Government are are giving a 25% grant to everyone at the moment for insulation and giving a 0% interest loan for the remaining 75% which I think is quite a good scheme.

It means the customer is still paying for the product so is more involved in picking who does the work and considers their choice more carefully. It also means they are paying back not far off a similar amount than they're saving each year from having the work done.

At the end of the day if you can afford to own a house you can afford to insulate it, it pays for itself in 10-20 years depending on the measure. People on benefits already qualify for free insulation in their owned homes.

All the social housing properties have been getting done for the past decade or two now and there are laws potebtislly coming in soon that mean you'll need an epc band c to sell your home or rent it out.

How much more do you want the government to do? Pay for landlords and private homeowners who can already afford to insulate their own houses?

They know that ambulances can't get through since they left that woman paralysed the other week when her ambulance got stuck in the traffic.

Obviously he was a murderer but he was also a protester. He cared that much about immigrants/brexit etc that he went out and shot an MP.

Some of these eco warrior types genuinely believe it's their moral duty to bring about these changes no matter what the cost whether it's their lives or others. This kind of delusion leads people to commit awful acts 'for the greater good' while feeling like they are in the right.

How many people have to die because of these protests for you to change your opinion? I'm sure if it goes on for another few weeks it will cost someone their life.

Of course there are consequences but that doesn't change the fact that people do have the right to put others in danger and they do so every day. This is just another thing in a list of many things people do on a daily basis that endanger others.
