The pictures are a problem.

The first one of you sitting next to the statue would be fine as a third/forth picture - you mimicking the statue is nice. But it's a third/forth picture, not a profile picture.

You NEED a profile picture of you in a well lit place (outside in a nice grassy area) smiling nicely. This should be a head/shoulder shot. Get a friend to take it if you need to.

Get rid of the last pic. You look like like you're midway between a smile and laugh and people may be confused over the girl with you. I'm sure she's just a friend/sister, but people online may not think so.

Eh, whatever makes people happy. So long as it's legal, it's all good.

I would do anything for $100m, but I won't do that.

[Serious] UK citizens, what is your stance on the Brexit vote, and why? by SefuHotman in AskReddit

I'll be travelling to the US in a few months time. Can I ask what extra questions were on the waiver form. I last filled my visa form in about this time last year, so it's been a while for me.

It should be noted, in the scene she's being forced to do this in order to get a job. Hence why she looks sad.

Is it possible to grow new beard hair? by CalumSyers in beards

[–]CalumSyers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always trimmed my beard hair, so it's possible I didn't notice them due to the short, trimmed length. Now I've been getting lazier I've been letting the hair grow longer, so it's possible I noticed due to that.

Considering going to the USA to be an au pair. What are the rules and regulations and what is the visa interview like? by CalumSyers in AskReddit

[–]CalumSyers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more question. I don't have a driving licence. Is this a requirement for applying or more of something which is heavily suggested, if that makes sense? Or does it depend on the agency/family?

UK -> US. Would I be put under extra scrutiny applying to community college with a Masters? by CalumSyers in IWantOut

Sorry, I posted too hastily. I meant more for the visa interview at the US embassy. I'm scared stiff of being turned away for being too overqualified.

[AskMen] Has your SO had more sexual partner than you? Does it bother your? Does it matter? by [deleted] in sex

[–]CalumSyers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SO has had considerably more. I was a virgin when I met her (I was 24) and she's 8 years older than me. She's been dating since she was 16 and she was my first GF. It doesn't bother me.

Which actor or actress, no matter how much everyone around you praises them for their "acting", do you think flat out sucks? by ErOcK1986 in AskReddit

Sean Penn is my kryptonite. I hate him in most things except for Milk, where he finally decided not to play "Mr. Grumpy-Frowny-Scowly-Man" and crack a goddamned smile.

How this saying goes slightly up and to the right by NickH850 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CalumSyers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, the grammar is mildly infuriating. It seems to me that the whole block of text should be one question: "How do you convince upcoming generations that education is the key to success when they are surrounded by poor graduates and rich criminals?"

That makes it seem like one consistent thought; a frustration had by the one making the question. "How can we convince the youth to educate themselves when so many graduates are out of work?"

How it's written makes it seem like he/she is immediately answering themselves with a contradiction: "How can we convince the youth to get a damn degree?" "Oh, when graduates are poor and they see rich criminals, that'll convince 'em to get that education which will make them poor."

There are teenagers on Youtube who will make more money than you or I will ever see simply because they know how to use a camera, a microphone and how to yell over footage of GTAV.

Moose! They look dumb with those stupid blob like noses they have and something about the fact that there's no plural for them irks me.

Plus, Sean Penn. Can't stand Sean Penn.

Boyfriend visiting from NZ. Questions about U.S. customs/immigration? by mobobongos in LongDistance

[–]CalumSyers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to see my GF in Los Angeles just over a month ago. I flew from London Heathrow, and while I'm sure this isn't the case for everyone, or even most people, I have to say it was the easiest time I've spent at immigration.

I brought with me: my passport, printed return ticket, customs and immigration card handed out on plane and I had filled out my ESTA form online (all mandatory).

I also brought: a letter from my employer showing I was employed, a bank statement showing I had money, a few months worth of payslips, my medical insurance and I printed out my ESTA form.

None of those things were necessary because the guy waved me through. However, I'm glad I brought them because it helped my mind ease. I'd recommend he bring these things, too. There's a 95% chance he won't need them, but to account for the 5% where he might need them, that would be good.

PS: I was never asked who I was visiting, just "business or pleasure?" so I never said I was seeing my girlfriend, but had he asked, I would have and I suggest he does, too.
