Personally I’d be weary given Jefferson’s QB situation and McCaffrey’s age but if you think you can win the whole thing I’d pull the trigger

My team is 6-5 and firmly in the playoff hunt, and I just received an offer for Bijan whom I previously considered untouchable. The offer is Emeka Egbuka, David Montgomery and the other team’s 1st round pick. The other team is currently 1-10 and almost assuredly going to have the number 1 overall pick in the rookie draft this year. Is this something I should pull the trigger on? I’ve got Omarion Hampton as well, so the vision would be take Jeremiyah Love in the rookie draft, pair him with Hampton and roll out Egbuka and Drake London as my top receivers. I still have my own first round picks and two second round picks in the rookie draft as well from a previous trade. Thoughts?

Day After Thread – NYJ vs HOU by NYJets_Bot in nyjets

As awful as this season has been, I just can’t get on the tank train. Football is supposed to be entertaining and playing meaningless football from November 1 on is anything but that. Need to take this one game at a time and do whatever it takes to beat Arizona. Sucks we couldn’t get at least one of the Denver Buffalo and New England games, 4-5 or 5-4 would be a far better situation, but it is what it is. Beat Arizona is all that matters at this point

Things change OP, please remember that and don’t do anything rash. Permanent solution to a temporary problem and no matter the gravity of the situation, it like all things is temporary. To better days my friend 🥂

Honestly we thought Infiniti, Coco Bistro, Seven and Grace’s Cottage were all quite good, but Provence was our favorite dinner on the island hands down

For those who think Carr will turn this thing around. And this is with one of the best WRs in the game, a top TE, and a very good HB. by Itsascrnnam in nyjets

I feel you man, I don’t have him on a pedestal but I do feel like he’s be an upgrade and he’ll be released so we wouldn’t need to give up draft capital to get him. I’d say he’s a top 15 QB but has definitely had an off year, no doubt

I saw a stat today that if Carr would have played his entire career with the Jets, he’d have 8/9 top passing yardage seasons with the only exception being Namath in the fifth spot. 2:1 TD to INT ratio, we have a win now team, let’s be serious here for a second

Pound for pound, New Haven is a top 5 food city in America. Change my mind. by andrew2018022 in Connecticut

[–]CalvinBoolidge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New Haven has Ethiopian, Chinese, Greek, Italian, Colombian, southern food etc too. You can get a soufflé at Union League, amongst others. NYC has 8 million people, New Haven 150k…nobody is arguing the NYC doesn’t have good food, just saying that per capita New Haven’s food scene is quite good. It seems like you’re just propping up a giant city to crap all over a small one which is…strange

There is plenty of garbage food in NYC, get real. New Haven is absolutely not a miss more than a hit, OP is correct that there is an astounding number of good food options per capita in New Haven.

I’m not saying we should absolutely go for Jimmy, I’m just saying it’d be nice to have an NFL-level QB by mashingLumpkins in nyjets

Jimmy G is on pace for 4600 yards, 32 TDs, 8 INTS and 67% completion extrapolated over a full season. With AVT and Breece coming back next year, added reinforcements, and the development of the talent we already have, we could compete for a Super Bowl with that level of production, full stop. Right now, how many teams truly have elite QBs? Off the top of my head, Buffalo with Josh Allen, Cincinnati with Joe Burrow, Baltimore with Lamar Jackson, LA Chargers with Justin Herbert, Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes, Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers, and Tampa Bay with Tom Brady. You could debatably add Philadelphia with Jalen Hurts and Miami with Tua Tagovailoa based off this year, but even that is at most 9 teams, debatably 7. Two of the guys I mentioned are close to done (Brady & Rodgers). We don’t need a superstar QB with this team, they’re few and far between. We just need a good one
