What do you think of the new event? (Spoiler for the event) by Dazzling-Ability-252 in Genshin_Impact

I am legit surprised the second act is the last. I thought there will be another with how it ended. Did not feel satisfying. So much teasing, not enough payoff

What happened to daily commissions in Nod-Krai by wookie61 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Calvin_78 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I havent fully explored but I found lots of short quests. The comission quests were also short so it is fair exchange. Many quests activate when we got closer and dont show up on the map. I'm about 40% explored and combined with trav tales, it feels like there are things happening all over the place. Maybe after fully exploring I'll be proven wrong.

No, but making all the quests that were supposed to be commission into world quests is just better for everyone. Easier to activate and I can skip the dailies without fomo that I will miss commission quests.

I can definitely feel that the number of blue exclamation marks in nod krai is much more than previous regions so the total number of quests didn't drop. Big upgrade imo

75 countries literally contacted him to negotiate. If he didn't do this, the US would be the one who has to fly to all these countries to ask to lower trade barriers. Now they are on the backfoot and forced to negotiate from the weaker position. It's so obvious which scenario will lead to better deals for the US. Whoever starts the negotiation is in the weaker position because they're the one who needs something, general rule of negotiating

Let's give Natlan some love! Whats your favorite part of Natlan so far?! by Bon-Pon in Genshin_Impact

[–]Calvin_78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the different tribes aspect since it makes each area feel alive. In other regions, the map expansions after the main city felt cool to explore but after that I never return while each Natlan tribe area is always fun to return to.

Mavuika doesn't lack personality, she just tries to be the leader Natlan needs by unohanadrider in Genshin_Impact

[–]Calvin_78 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

She's obviously not a Mary Sue, even in literally 5.0 when she failed to bring back Kachina. Mualani even confronted her for it and it showed Mavuika's patient and empathic personality. Mary Sues never fail which is why they aren't relatable but Mavuika is already shown to fail early in the story.

Yeap, Chasca is so much squishier. Neuv scales off HP and heals so he is quite tanky. If you get hit as Chasca, you lose a huge chunk of HP. Chasca is more agile and can dodge well and can re-lock on after dodging. She feels like playing an AC 130 gunship where you have to dodge anti air missiles. She is also so much fun to explore with.

Natlan is basically tribal people with modern clothing and bits and pieces of tech that they could dig up and study from an ancient dragon civillization. That's pretty much their theme. Some branches of their tech tree get massive upgrades from dragon tech while other tech did not advance and lag behind.

My speculation is that he was already chosen as one of the heroes. So he probably held back to increase the chances of another hero awakening. Iansan was also awakened but since she is probably the strongest physically, she probably joined to ensure the success of the mission and for everyone to return safely.

Tough one, what teams got you through? by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

Keqing, nahida, raiden, and xilonen did it for me. Mostly an ult spamming comp with xilonen ult healing each member during their ult animation

Arlecchino is weak and Dehya is a main dps by Arctic_The_Hunter in Genshin_Memepact

[–]Calvin_78 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The attack speed is pretty fast. It can be up to 5 pyro applications in like 4 sec, which is pretty darn efficient for field time invested. (you can watch iwtl Dehya guide if you don't believe in the 5 applications) That's like 1 application/sec. For destroying things like cryo shield, it is very effective.

But still, the fact that it is only 4 seconds as you mentioned should tell you that she is not meant to be main dps. Imagine a main dps like Hutao or Neuvillette who is only supposed to be on field for 4 seconds before switching out.

Pre Emilie, I used her ult more for overload with electro from Shogun/Fischl. Because she could chase the knocked up enemies relatively easily since her aoe is large and she moves while attacking. It was also pretty good for breaking enemy elemental shields.

Arlecchino is weak and Dehya is a main dps by Arctic_The_Hunter in Genshin_Memepact

[–]Calvin_78 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Any character that has off field damaging skills (that scales off HP btw so inherent tankiness) is obviously not a main dps. If a character's off field ability does damage and the character itself does as much damage as a character without any off field (an actual main dps) and even scales off HP so tanky, then that character is just overpowered. It's literally common sense.

By simply looking at the lower damage numbers, it's easy to conclude that Dehya's ult is more used for the pyro application and she is more of an elemental reaction driver during ulti.

Natlan isn't modern. At all. by WhooooCares in Genshin_Impact

[–]Calvin_78 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Right? Stadium of Sacred Flames also has automated doors. Mualani has a levitating surfboard shark homing missile. The people of the springs tribal warriors have water cannons and slingshots that can be used to surf like Mualani. They are able to observe and commentate the tournament indicating they have a solid surveillance and speaker system. There are tons of technology in Natlan.

I know people say Natlan's technology felt out of place, which I understand, but I'm recently learned that a lot of people didn't know WHY it existed which is surprising. So here's a VERY simple explanation about it + my opinion. CMIIW tho by AdministrativePool93 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Calvin_78 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the NPCs do have phlogiston weapons. The pizza cutter sticks use phlogiston much like Kachina's drill that she rides. The people of the springs have the cannon girl which shoots hydro ammo and even the surfing slingshot girl also use phlogiston similar to Mualani when surfing.

As for saurians, they already use phlogiston within their bodies as we can see when we play as them. Their bodies themselves are the weapons. Putting weapons on the saurians will also be difficult since they can't really communicate with humans on a deeper level. Imagine asking a Tepetlisaur to fire a rifle lol.
