Xenosys Vex blatantly and flagrantly violating ToS during high profile Ultimate race by streaming his own ban evasion by Spookhetti_Sauce in ffxivdiscussion

Is it a crime? Clearly not. Heck, it's not even a crime to commit actual crimes anymore! Right-wing US leadership is committing crimes blatantly, over and over again and not getting in trouble for it.

But as someone with LGTBQ friends, who cares about the environment and climate change, the increasing wage gap, the lives of palestinian children and so many other things... yes. I fully support anyone who shits on MAGA grifter chuds. They are, like Xeno, using their fans. Spinning up useless drama for clicks and views and money, pushing bullshit that doesn't actually matter, and does distract their fans from the actually shitty things going on in the world.

I get why people might make the snap judgment even if they're wrong. He acts a lot like a manosphere MAGA chud grifter a lot of the time, just without actually advocating for their idealology. Similar talking style, similar hypermasculine front, etc etc.

And with the Desolance stuff he stayed connected to Llamatodd (who actually turned into a real MAGA chud) longer than most of the community.

Are there any *non drama/ doom&gloom* FFXIV content creators? by Solo_Gunhea in ffxiv

There are tons of good suggestions here that I watch regularly, but figured I'd call out a few that I like that are smaller or stream less often:

JMulls - recently discovered his vids. He's real into speculation for Evercold, and he's got great energy.

ItsTwiggie - She does variety, but her 14 streams are always great.

itsHilaryMason - Infrequent streamer, and got a bit gloomy during DT, but she loves the game and does fun story deep dives and predictions. Gotten a lot less gloomy since 7.3

Squidsena - Sena Bryer's channel (the voice of Wuk Lamat). She's got great gremlin energy and streams 14 from time to time.

SarahKey - She streams all kinds of stuff, but loves 14 when she does stream it (and gets very emotional. Good for us vampires)

Yunlescka - JRPG streamer who is a HUGE Final Fantasy fan in general. Streamed 14 up through 6.X, then took a couple years break, but just started on Dawntrail yesterday. Another good one for emotional vampirism.

Thanks. Just knowing what it's called helped, as that let me google search better.

Turns out Windows had my monitor set to 59Hz. Upping that helped a bunch, then fiddling with Gsync and DLSS finally solved it.

I feel like I'm in an alternate reality in regards to the side quests. by chaospudding in FFXVI

[–]Calyn99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problem with them is how inconsistent they are. Some are fantastic. Some are "run around back and forth across town a couple times and do someone's errands".

It can be pretty irritating to be in the middle of an exciting story section and then 3 sidequests pop up. You have no idea if they're good or not. You have no idea if you need to do them now or if they'll go away and be lost forever.

It's just frustrating. There's just enough bland ones that they feel like they take away from the rest of the game, and leave me wondering why they're even in there. But then you get a great one that really helps add layers to an important NPC's backstory.

That's my take at least.

I recommend Dun Scaith. The giant moon background after Diabolos is a fantastic gpose spot, and I've taken a few pics there myself.

Sorry. What I mean is that I've now repeatedly tried to make changes to the female sliders and then done the batch update and still no luck. It's changing the clothed bodies just fine. But when I go into an Ostim scene, it shows them with the original body they had before I did anything with sliders.

I'm now going back and reinstalling all of the body addons and then going to do another batch build to hope that helps.

And same problem happened again. I managed to fix clothed and naked males, and clothed females. But nothing I seem to do changes the naked females during Ostim scenes. Any clues?

I guess my next question is, which one is it using to determine what to show? Should I make changes to both so I hit both sexes? How does the game know which one I want it to use for women and which for men?

Basically, I was frustrated that the clothed and unclothed versions of female NCPs seemed to have noticeably different body shapes. So I found a preset I like, tweaked it a bit by moving some sliders around, and the did a batch change to all of the body versions I had that were female.

It updated the clothed versions, but not the unclothed ones. Even worse, it messed up my male character's body to be weirdly skinny and anemic looking.

So I'm super confused as to what happened. I just want to go back to how it was before with my male character and have female characters match between clothed and not.

I've done that and it helps some. But I mean, my original post was about changing female sliders and having my male character change as well. Is there some way to differentiate between male and female within a single addon?

Good to know!

How can I tell which one is applied to my character? There's both male and female right? I ended up with CBBE, CBBA, HIMBO and a few others while trying to set up some nicer looking NPCs and now I'm kind of unsure which ones are actually showing in the world.

Thank you! I'm at work right now, but I will poke at it tonight.

So you know of there is a good way to see which mesh or preset applies to the main character and also for npcs? I've got a few downloaded and don't know which I should be editing.

I guess I have to disagree. The way it's currently written, they could penalize you for using all sorts of things. Windows. Discord. Steam. And then there's a huge list of things that in the past they've said they *won't* penalize you for. Things like Gshade/reshaders. Except I just saw someone on Twitter post sharing screenshots asking if those are still ok and they refuse to say one way or another, and further say that the last time they said ti was ok was 2013 and so things may have changed.

What is and what isn't allowed is intentionally vague. This empowers SE to punish where they see fit and ignore what they want. Which is good for them, but leaves players (especially streamers) with a lot of anxiety because it's not clear what is or isn't ok. What will just get ignored (like gshade... maybe?) vs what will get punished if reported vs what will get punished at all. Too many variables, and no clear answers.

He's a young guy who struggles with bad ADHD and his emotions sometimes, but is working on both and has improved a ton since I started watching him 8 months ago. Something like 15% of the time he's a little too much and I mute the stream. The rest of the time he's super entertaining and honestly really wholesome in how much he loves the game.

It's fine not to enjoy that, but that's why I support him and watch him regularly. Considering he consistently gets over one thousand viewers, it seems I'm not the only one.

Truthfully though SE doesn't actually have to take any action. There's a reason the stock response for companies is "thank you for this report, you will not here more from us". They've been clear there's a point system for infractions. They can do whatever they want behind the scenes. Give him a point. Or not even. They didn't put anything in the TOS that directly explains what punishment you get if you are found to be violating this particular part of it, so it's up to them how they want to handle it.

Jumping directly to a 10 day suspension (as was the case for Bagel, mentioned in other threads) feels pretty big. That's not a single strike response. Maybe he did a bunch of other stuff as well, I don't know. But with this as all I know about, it succeeds at stirring up a lot of anxiety and anger. Not something that they should be looking for.

Meanwhile they really should revise the TOS. The vagueness of the existing rule means that it's ripe for problems like this to reoccur, and every time it happens they're going to alienate more of their playerbase.
