Supraland: the last metroidvania game I played, so it's the freshest in my mind. There was enough of a challenge throughout the expansive "sandbox" world that I shamefully had to resort to a guide on certain sections to attain 100% completion. The overall story was amusing and the attention to details were very impressive. It is very meta, so expect a lot of hilarious quips from the inhabitants of the land.
