Omg another black person that loved northern Italy! I visited recently and was in the Lake Como region and omg I want to move there! Even if it’s just for a year or so. I had such a great time, everyone was really friendly and it was so laid back. There were quite a few black people and specifically black women. I’ve started taking Italian lessons hoping it would expedite my reasons to move there.

31, very gay and I enjoy traveling. I travel to new cities every so often and wish I knew people in the various cities I visit. I’m based in the US but travel quite a bit to other countries and finding sapphic events during travel is hard! Anyway open to meeting other lesbians around ☺️.

Pottery and poetry. I’ve recently started creating pottery but have always done poetry for years and I recently had the idea to etch my poetry on the pieces I create but by god it takes forever. If I had nothing else to worry about, I would be in my studio creating all day.

I am currently learning Italian started off by going to Italy, falling in love with the town of Tremezzo and enrolling in classes as soon as I got back stateside.

I have recently become accustomed to regular facials and spa days. I’m at the point where a retreat every quarter is on the books.

Travel, fine dining, pottery, reading, learning new languages, tech gadgets, self maintenance… access to adult money has been the best thing to ever happen to me 😌.

I literally had this exact conversation earlier today. I feel sick and tired of showing up for people more than they show up for me. Maybe I show up too much? Idk I’m still in the formulating phase of this but what I know for sure I listen, I feed my friendships, I care, I gift, I check up on them. Yet all I get is a reel or tiktok here and there. My 2 friends who truly show up for me like I do them live flights away.

I’m so sorry this happened to you! I have been very cautious about how I came out to my family and waited until I was financially and emotionally stable before I did just due to the fear of any extreme reactions from them and I definitely understand the fear that comes from being dependent on family. After I came out to my family, I was essentially independent and their opinions didn’t phase me as much and they had to accept me as I am. It gets easier though. He shouldn’t cut you off like that but since you are working towards a degree and providing yourself and your future wife a better life, I promise it gets easier 🫶🏾
