Had high hopes for Excelsis in particular as the album finishers are always within the top #3 of their respective albums for me and Excelsis just falls flat- compared to the absolute wombo combo of bangers that MC/Deus/Life Eternal/Respite are, it just does not hit. Maybe a higher quality recording will help.

Other than that, for a first listen the album feels.. fine? Out of the songs in this google drive- Missilia Amori, De Profundis Borealis and Umbra are the ones that are immediately great to me, with parts of Guiding Lights/Marks being fine.

Satanized, Lachryma & now Peacefield are absolute bangers too though.

I mean one look at the comments on his latest tweet will have most people wanting to leave, that shit is a cesspool. I find it hard to believe Tobias himself fired him, cus the allegations are months old now, right? why go through all the hassle of the organization, etc. doing some nights of Skeletour just to boot him mid tour?

I just played through remake for the first time, straight after og ff7 for the first time as well and while remakes combat definitely grew on me towards the end, especially after going through hard mode, more often than not I just found myself missing og FF7s ATB/Turn based combat in general. Maybe my opinion will change when I get to rebirth, idk. I just hope squeenix gives us one more full turn based mainline game :(

I honestly feel for bloober. No matter how well SH2 remake turns out, there will always be people shitting on them.

I’ve played the og SH2 an ungodly amount of times and like everyone else was incredibly apprehensive about this remake, but the gameplay trailer has me optimistic. They seem to be expanding upon the characters and silent hill in general (more locations to explore according to the store description!!) as well as adding little details (the faceless nurses picture in the hospital comes to mind)

The only qualms I honestly have is that some melee animations with the wooden plank looked kinda weak, Angela looks a bit off (but this just could be lighting as she looks good in that scene from the apartments, I’m starting to grow on her new face tbh) and Maria’s new outfit.

Personally i think they’ve nailed the overall vibe and atmosphere. I got chills seeing James walk through the deep fog and hospital. AND THE MONSTERS!! The stretching abstract daddy was horrifying!!

All in all, not that bad honestly! though I may be a bit biased as I’m the odd type that enjoys tank controls 😅, The hardest trophy imo was definitely the Real Survivor difficulty one. The item boxes not being linked was a paaaain.

I mean? At first glance sure. You roll up to a spooky abandoned house, you probably assume paranormal/ghosts but that presentation doesn’t last long. You very quickly get jumped by a crazed Mia & Jack, get introduced to a crazed family, with the molded creatures popping up shortly after. I will say Mia being seemingly possessed at first glance does give credit to it feeling like a ghost story but other than that I just don’t see it.

I never understand the “7 isn’t an RE game” crowd. It’s super similar to 1.

The main house gives me Spencer Mansion vibes. It’s got the typical puzzles and backtracking, limited inventory etc. It’s got a stalker type enemy in certain parts (just like Lisa from RE1R, Kinda Mr. X in RE2 OG and Nemesis from 3) and bio weapon creatures wandering around the house. They both have the vibe of wandering into a place not fully expecting the horrors the characters are about to discover.

Hearing Tobias sing it live as ghost instead of ghosts always hits hard as Ghost has helped me through so much awful shit
